The fairytale mountains of Pale di San Martino, which dominate over the valley, wonderfully routed, terrifically prepared ski runs, two snowparks, modern ski lifts and snowmaking on most trails, as well as fantastic, floodlit runs - this is only an introduction to the attractions that the region of San Martino di Castrozza offers for energetic winter holidays.

San Martino di Castrozza (1427 m a.s.l.) is a charming Alpine village and renowned ski resort in the north-eastern part of the Trentino region, situated in a wide Valley, within Paneveggio National Park, as well as the main centre of the ski area of the same name. Granite peaks of the Dolomites of the Pale di San Martino group, at the foot of which lies San Martino, change colour depending on the light and make it one of the most beautiful scenic villages in Italy.

The majestic nature and rugged mountains of the Dolomite are beautifully combined with the wide, very well-prepared and marked ski slopes. The resort is rarely crowded, so you can take the maximum advantage of time for skiing without standing in queues. San Martino di Castrozza, offers very good snow conditions, over 90% of the trails are supplemented by artificial snow, and the ski lifts are systematically upgraded. The ski region covered by one ski pass includes San Martino di Castrozza and Passo Rolle (1984 m a.s.l.) which is approx. 9 km away, offering trails of varying difficulty for both skiers and snowboarders. Over the pass Rolle climbs Cimon della Pala (3184 m a.s.l.), called the Matterhorn of the Dolomites and Cima Vezzana (3192 m a.s.l.).

A major ski area is also Col Verde with beautifully lit pistes. The trails, of which there are approx. 60 km, offer wonderful views of the Dolomites. Well-known trails for the advanced are Direttissima, Kristiania and Tognola 1-3-km long FIS trail, from where there is a panoramic view of Pale di San Martino. Well-known red trails are Colbricon, Tognola 3, Sole, Cima Tognola and Rekord. There are also two snowparks: in Passo Rolle and on the slopes of Tognola, as well as excellent conditions for ski trekking. 23 ski lifts operate on the trails: 3 cable railways, 15 chairlifts and 5 T-bar lifts. San Martino is a small, pretty little town, but you can also find après-ski attractions. There are restaurants, wine bars, pubs and discos. The region San Martino-Passo Rolle is part of the Dolomiti Superski area.
