We recommend Kassandra to everyone who associate their holidays with resting by the sea, going to the beach and entertainment. The wide range of possibilities of spending time causes that this region has for years been enjoying a great interest of tourists. The two biggest attractions in the region are available for all. Petralona Cave - became world-famous when remains of the primitive man were discovered from 700 thousand years ago. The diversity of Chalkidiki can be found also in the regional cuisine. Fans of seafood will taste moules served here in tomato and red pepper sauce - this is a specialty of the northern part of the peninsula. Possidi pine forests provide resin that is added to the local wine Retsina. You might want to go to the local market, where you can purchase specialties of the Greek cuisine.
SIVIRI - a summer resort on the west coast of the peninsula, peaceful and secluded, you can find romantic corners, relax on the sandy beach and try Greek dishes in taverns right next to the sea.
POSSIDI - a small and peaceful town, it offers nice beaches and crystal clear sea, as well as a gorgeous view of the shores of the Gulf of Thermaikos.
POTIDEA - a picturesque village, excellent getaway base. An attraction of the place are the remains of the defensive walls from the 6th century B.C., a canal 1250 m long, separating the cape from the mainland, joins the Gulf of Thermaikos and Toroneos, as well as traditional taverns serving fish and seafood dishes. The village also has sandy beaches.
PALIOURI - a peaceful place where a traditional atmosphere and lifestyle of the inhabitants has been retained. An excellent choice for families with children and those who are looking for a quiet holiday. Here you can experience a real Greek holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of resorts.
KRIOPIGI - is a small traditional Greek village surrounded by green hills of pine forests and olive groves. You will find here a few taverns and pubs where you can enjoy delicious food. Sand and shingle beaches and blue water invites you to rest, this is an ideal place for those looking for peace and quiet.
SANI - golden beaches, luxury hotels by the shore of the Aegean Sea, surfing delight. This small former fishing village quickly turned into a paradise for tourists. Sani is a luxurious, picturesque and peaceful spot. Perfect holidays for all who wish to rest surrounded by beautiful scenery. It is close from here to the lively bars, clubs and discos.
