The smallest inhabited island of the Balearic archipelago, called "the last Mediterranean paradise" is fabulous beaches and crystal clear sea. You can get to Formentera by a short ferry cruise from Ibiza which is only 11 km away. Tourist are impressed already at the start - ferries dock in La Savina port with characteristic white houses that are in perfectly contrast to the light blue colour of the sea.

Formentera has a varied coastline, from majestic cliffs to mild, sandy shores and intimate bays. There are over 20 km of sandy beaches, considered the most beautiful in the Mediterranean Sea. Most of them are distinguished by the Blue Flag certificate awarded for exceptional cleanliness and clarity of the water. In the crystal clear waters around the island there are excellent conditions for diving and snorkelling. Rich fauna and flora of coastal waters is unique on a European scale, in 1999 it was entered onto the UNESCO World Heritage list. The most popular, and at the same time the longest beach in Formentera, is Platja de Migjorn - 5 km long. The light, fine sand and sea that shimmers with all the shades of blue make this an ideal destination both for family holidays, as well as romantic holidays for two. The well-prepared watersports base attracts amateurs of windsurfing and sailing. Es Pujols beach is different in nature, there are discos and bars here.

There are also nudist beaches on the island.

Being in Formentera it is worth going to the capital of the island - Sant Francesco with its many restaurants, lovely pubs and shops, where you can buy souvenirs of the symbol of the island - Lilford's Wall Lizard, which is an endemic species occurring only in Formentera. The island's landscape can be admired from the vantage point of Es Mirador, which offers views of the beautiful panorama of the coast. One of the most popular sights is the lighthouse La Mola located on the west coast of the island.

Formentera is best explored by bike or scooter, there are many kilometers of well maintained bike trails. One of the attractions are the salt saline lakes located in the north of the island, where salt used to be mined - today it is Ses Salines Nature Reserve. Characteristic for Formentera's landscape are also the fig groves and almond trees, as well as green stone pine forests by the azure sea. Thanks to the balance between tourism development and environmental protection it has managed to retain untouched nature and territories unpolluted by civilization.
