For Arab merchants it was the land of happy surprises, and the medieval traveler Marco Polo called it the most wonderful island in the world. The American novelist Mark Twain considered it to be "beautiful and wonderfully tropical". Mahatma Gandhi was convinced that the natural beauty of Sri Lanka is unsurpassed throughout the globe. Today also, the beauty, wealth and diversity of this place make up the magic that charms newcomers.

What attracts tourists most are the beautiful golden beaches and lush tropical nature. The population, which is very friendly to tourists, causes that staying here leaves remarkable memories.

We encourage all who come to Sri Lanka, to go beyond the walls of the hotel and explore the area. Sri Lanka, in fact, is not only beautiful beaches. It has a very rich history, the traces of which we encounter at every turn. On the southern coast, you can visit Galle with its colonial buildings erected by the Dutch, Portuguese and English. However, the most interesting is the historical capital of the island, Kandy. It is additionally the spiritual capital of the inhabitants of this country. Here is a relic revered by Buddhists – Buddha's tooth.

Plantations of the famous Ceylon tea and cinnamon, golden beaches and lush, tropical vegetation Kandy with the wonderful Buddhist temple, the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala and the colonial buildings of Galle.

BEAUTIFUL AND WONDERFULLY TROPICAL
Called by Marco Polo the most magnificent island in the world, it has many places to discover and a rich history, traces of which can be found at every step: the famous Galle with colonial buildings, a lively boardwalk and a historic fort from the 17th century protruding out towards the sea, Kandy - former capital of Sri Lanka with the Royal Botanic Gardens and a magnificent Buddhist temple, where the relic is kept - Buddha's tooth and Sigiriya - Lion's rock with the ruins of an ancient palace and fortress.

GOLDEN BEACHES
Like a picture, with palms bending down to the ocean, sandy beaches stretching for miles. Most of Sri Lanka's coastline is golden beaches. The famous “Golden Mile” in Beruwala, Bentota - one of the most popular on the island, Negombo - long, with orange-gray sand and Unawatuna in the south - supposedly the most beautiful on the island.

TEA AND CINNAMON
The world-famous Ceylon tea of the highest quality, with a wonderful aroma and flavor, is grown on plantations in the heart of the island. Tea fields can be seen in Nuwara Eliya and on the hills around Ella. Genuine cinnamon comes from Sri Lanka, it is delicate and very aromatic, has a subtle spicy taste with a light sweet and spicy note. WILDLY An exotic island delights with lush tropical vegetation, juicy green jungle and beautiful landscapes. The magnificent waterfalls of Ramboda, around which there are tea fields, National Parks: Yala, Horton or Minneriya Plains, where you can meet wild elephants, leopards and exotic birds are perfect places to get to know the real, wild Sri Lanka, where nature is at your fingertips.

SURFER TIME
Sapphire Indian Ocean, high waves, gently sloping beaches and perfect weather attract enthusiasts of water sports from around the world. Surfers and windsurfers mostly visit Beruwala and Bentota with water sports centers, to see the coral reef it is best to go to Hikkaduwa - a town with developed tourist infrastructure and a beautiful, wide beach.

RICE & CURRY WHICH MEANS A SNACK
Fiendishly spicy, one of the hottest in the world, in the traditional edition recommended only to the brave. Curry with rice is a basic dish on the island, vegetables dominate here: aubergine with curry, fried and stewed with tomatoes, onions and mustard, lentils boiled in coconut milk with spices and lantern delicacy - curd buffalo milk with coconut palm fruit juice.

IN THE KINGDOM OF ELEPHANTS
The wild elephants can be found in the Minneriya National Park. When “grazing" in high grass, they do not pay attention to tourists. It is also worth visiting the Udawalawe National Park, where the elephants living in the wild proudly stroll among the bushes, sometimes posing for photos.

AJURWEDA
An ancient system of medicine based on the elements and prana - life force. Ayurveda, which is very popular in Sri Lanka, heals not only the body but also the soul. The hotel's spa offers a variety of treatments, it is worth trying relaxing Ayurvedic massages using natural ingredients such as herbs or sandalwood oil.

WHAT SOUVENIRS TO BUY?
The most important is a statuette of Buddha, tea and spices: cinnamon sticks, nutmeg and curry. It is also worth purchasing some wood products, Lankan masks, jewelry, arak - strong alcohol from coconut milk and Ayurvedic peculiarities, especially massage oils.
