Ten typ hotelu to dobra oferta dla osób stroniących od hałasu, tłumów, wind i wielu innych "atrakcji", które tak naprawdę atrakcjami nie są. Budynek przypomina starą rezydencję i położony jest w bardzo dobrej lokalizacji, blisko centrum Funchal. Obok obiektu jest basen i leżaki dla spragnionych słońca. Wyposażenie pokoi wystarczające, chociaż to nie są cztery gwiazdki wg polskich standardów, hotelowego szlafroka nie należy oczekiwać. Śniadania w formie szwedzkiego stołu są przeciętne (typowo hotelowe) ale ich zaletą jest stała dostępność egzotycznych owoców. Nie należy oczekiwać jakiś animacji czy piaszczystych plaż, bo po to nie przyjeżdża się na Maderę.

Hotel w dobrym położeniu. Blisko centrum, sklepów, restauracji. Dobra baza wypadowa do zwiedzania Funchal i nie tylko. Jest czysto. Obsługa hotelowa jest bardzo miła. Zwracają uwagę na daty urodzenia. Razem z moją narzeczoną mieliśmy urodziny podczas pobytu i dostaliśmy schłodzone musujące wino i torta. Super gest! Pokoje na parterze mają bezpośredni dostęp do basenu więc można na boso się do niego dostać i korzystać z promieni słonecznych. Wokół jest dużo zieleni więc mamy zapewniony kameralny klimat prawie w centrum miasta. Śniadania można zjeść na tarasie z widokiem na góry. Super wypad! Jeśli lubisz aktywnie spędzać czas to jest wiele ciekawych miejsc do odwiedzenia na całej wyspie. Polecam wypożyczyć samochód. Każde miejsce wyspy ma swój urok. Jeśli lubisz piesze wycieczki to możesz zobaczyć piękne miejsca, których nie ma nawet w wycieczkowych folderach. Miejscowe jedzenie też jest godne polecenia. Szaszłyk z różnymi gatunkami ryb wiszący pionowo nad talerzem dla fanów morskiego jedzenia jest czymś niezapomnianym. Polecam knajpki na wschód od targu :) jest ich całe mnóstwo...

Przez balkon wchodziły jaszczurki, a rurami karaluchy☹ Każdego dnia rano, po otwarciu drzwi- wózek serwisu sprzątajacego nie wiem dlaczego właśnie przed tymi drzwiami, bo Panie sprzątały dopiero po południu.

Klimatyczny, szczególnie w starszej części, wygodne łóżka i dobra lokalizacja. Brakuje wprawdzie lodówki w pokoju i internetu, ale basen jest przyjemny i ogólny spokój pozwala odpocząć. Troszkę przeszkadza hałas z pobliskiego skrzyżowania ulic, ale z kolei śniadania pozwalają dobrze zacząć dzień. Godne polecenia ze względu na miejsce, pogodę i sprawny serwis zaproponowany przez Itakę. Oceniając całokształt wróciliśmy bardziej zadowoleni niż się spodziewaliśmy.

Hotel położony blisko centrum Fuchal (15 min spacer). W okolicy restauracje, sklepy, przystanek autobusowy, ładne parki. Obok ruchliwa ulica i duże rondo, ale hałas nie jest uciążliwy. Klimatyzacja w każdym pokoju, pracuje bezszelestnie. Obsługa zawsze pomocna, recepcja otwarta 24h/dobę. Pokój przestronny, codziennie dokładnie sprzątany. Bardzo wygodne materace na łóżkach. Nasz pokój położony był na najniższym piętrze, wychodziło się z niego bezpośrednio do ogrodu i na basen. Basen nieduży, czysty, ale leżaki nie pierwszej młodości. WiFi dostępne przy recepcji i przy basenie. Śniadania serwowane w godzinach 7:30 – 10:00, duży wybór – każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie.

Hotel klimatyczny, wyglądem i wnętrzem przypomina kolonialny budynek. Pomocny, uśmiechnięty personel. Basen malutki, ale dla naszego dziecka w sam raz. Niedaleko do centrum na pieszo, ok 2 km. Do dużej plaży plaży kamienistej, oznaczonej błękitną flagą, ok 4 km. Wakacje jak najbardziej udane. Wiedzieliśmy, że Madera jest wyspą wiecznej wiosny, ale nie myśleliśmy, że jest aż tak dużo zielonej i bujnej roślinności. Dla miłośników trekkingu po górach i lewadach to idealne miejsce. Mnóstwo atrakcji do zwiedzania. Gorzej mają miłośnicy piaszczystych plaż bo takich są tylko dwie na całej wyspie ale zawsze można się przekonać do kamienistych:)

To raczej pensjonat niż hotel. Idealny na indywidualne wycieczki po Maderze i jej stolicy. Blisko do centrum, w pobliżu przystanki autobusowe, sklepy spożywcze i z pamiątkami, restauracje gdzie można posmakować maderyjskiej kuchni. Atmosfera można powiedzieć rodzinna. Wystrój hotelu, położenie, atmosfera oddają klimat prawdziwej starej Madery. Było cudownie. Może śniadania są monotonne, ale jedzone na tarasie przy wschodzie słońca z widokiem na ocean i góry smakują wspaniale (a czy w domu te śniadania są tak różnorodne ?). Po raz czternasty pojechałyśmy na urlop z Itaką. Ale po raz pierwszy na wczasy, a nie na wycieczkę objazdową i po raz pierwszy drugi raz w to samo miejsce. Po powrocie z zeszłorocznej wycieczki 'Strelicje na klifach' ( zaliczyłyśmy dodatkowe wycieczki fakultatywne) czułyśmy pewien niedosyt uroków tego miejsca. Ogromna zasługa rezydentki pani Beaty i lokalnych przewodników w pokazaniu nam nie tylko cudownych krajobrazów ale i cudownych klimatów, ludzi, historii. Tegoroczny wyjazd, zakwaterowanie w hotelu Quinta Perestello i opieka Pani Karoliny pozwoliły nam na cudowny wypoczynek i dalsze rozsmakowanie się w tym cudnym miejscu na mapie świata. Już przeglądamy katalogi i planujemy przyszłoroczny wyjazd. A Itace życzymy samych sukcesów, Dzięki Wam możemy zwiedzać świat.

Przytulny hotel, w którym czujesz się bardziej jak w willi dworze niż w hotelu sieciowym. Raczej dobra lokalizacja. Ma mały basen oraz bezpłatny parking. Chociaż bar ma dość ograniczony i kosztowny menu. A very beautiful island. But more suitable for those enjoying trekking rather than beach lovers. Bardzo piękna wyspa. Ale bardziej nadaje się dla osób korzystających trekkingu zamiast tych kochających leżeć na plaży.

Codziennie naprawdę to samo: jajecznica, smażony bekon/parówki, fasolka brytyjska, słodzone płatki śniadaniowe, wędlina, ser, owoce. Brak świeżych pomidorów i ogórków. Po tygodniu zbrzydło, po dwóch - szkoda gadać. Poza tym - lokalizacja super -wszędzie blisko - centrum Funchal na piechotkę 10 minut, linie autobusowe 100 m od hotelu. Personel miły, pokoje czyste, codziennie sprzątane (nie zostawialiśmy napiwków, a i tak pani pokojówka nalegała, kiedy w Wielkanocną Niedzielę powiedzieliśmy jej, żeby zrobiła sobie wolne i że u nas jest czysto). Madera cudowna, w terminie 15-29.03 klimacik delikatnego maja, na wycieczki brać ciepłe kurtki i długie spodnie, bo w górach temperatura szybko spada. Widoki obłędne, roślinność cudna - na pewno jeszcze raz tam pojedziemy (i pewni do tego samego hotelu, bo jego lokalizacja jest chyba najlepsza ze wszystkich oferowanych przez Itakę - jeśli jesteś nastawiony na zwiedzanie i samodzielny, a nie taksówki, all inclusive itp.)

Hotel położony przy ruchliwej ulicy, więc dla osób szukających ciszy i spokoju odradzam. Natomiast jest on fajną bazą do wypadów do Funchal (blisko sklepy, restauracje, 15 min spacerkiem do portu, 30 min do Mercado dos Lavradores), czy innych części wyspy (jest mały parking, więc można zostawić tam samochód). Obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna. Goście głównie w wieku 50+, 80% z anglii, słyszałem też Szwedów i Niemców. W nocy cisza, nikt nie łazi i się nie rozbija po hotelu. Śniadania mocno średnie - jajecznica, bekon/szynka/pomidory (na zmianę), można zamówić np. jajko sadzone, czy omleta, ale nigdzie o tym nie informują. Pewnie im się nie chce |). Jest jakaś wędlina (kilka rodzajów), ale nie jadam, więc nie próbowałem. O dziwo zawsze są owoce - jabłka, banany, pokrojony ananas/melon/winogrona/pomarańcze/grepfrut (3 do wyboru), kawa, herbata. Jako, że cała quinta jest stara to i styl i meble są stare, ale jest czysto i przyzwoicie. Materace twarde (ja lubię), poduszki fatalne i nie mają nic innego. Telewizor to powrót do przeszłości, czyli 29 calowa bańka CRT :). Z tego co zauważyłem Polaków wrzucają do pokojów na poziomie basenu, co jest ok o tyle, że ma się od razu wyjście + fotele i stolik. Można posiedzieć spokojnie. Pokoje w starym budynku nie mają balkonów. Hotel jest poprawny z bardzo dobrym położeniem, ale zdecydowanie nie dla osób, które chcą w nim siedzieć. Jako noclegownia jest w porządku. Do tego na sylwestra nie miał obowiązkowej opłaty za kolację, bo... po prostu nie serwują tam kolacji (tylko przekąski). Obok jest sklepik świetnie zaopatrzony w wina, więc można sobie coś nabyć |). Madera jest piękna i ciepła nawet w sylwestra. Do tego niesamowity pokaz sztucznych ogni. Ale zdecydowanie nie dla ludzi, którzy lubią plaże (sztuczna jest w Machico).

The centre of the island — cable car ride over the rooftops of the city of Funchal to the Monthe hill. Visiting: the sanctuary of Our Lady on Monte hill, tropical garden with Madeira's relic endemic vegetation. The picturesque mountain road leads to the heart of the island, where from panoramic terraces of Eira do Serrado you can admire the breathtaking view of the mountain precipices. A drive to a secluded village, the Valley of the Nuns, tasting the local specialty - liqueurs with chestnut, chocolate and passion fruit flavors. The route leads to the other side of the mountain range, to Câmara de Lobos - a typical fishing village with a charming port, Winston Churchill's favourite place. Optionally: a crazy downhill ride on wicker sleighs from Monte Hill (additionally payable: 15 EUR/person). Day trip. A drive to Pico de Arieiro - the third largest peak of Madeira (1818 m), from which, in good weather, you can see the crown of the island and the spectacular mountain landscapes. A drive through the world's largest valleys, covered with ancient Laurisilva laurel trees, to Ribeiro Frio village with a state-owned trout farm. A visit to the heritage park of traditional houses with thatched roofs in the village of Santana, admiring the cliff landscape of the peninsula of St Lawrence, vantage points with a panorama of Eagle Rock, the islands of Porto Santo, Desertas and the runway of the airport supported on 180 columns. Day trip. Evening with fado and Madeiran folklore — dinner in a traditional restaurant comprised of specialties of the cuisine: espetada (grilled meat) with polenta (fried cornmeal), soup, salad, boiled vegetables, dessert. The dinner is accompanied by the performance of a folk band (singing and dancing, traditional instruments) and then a concert of Portuguese fado songs performed by one of the best female singers on the island. Levada — Madeira is famous for its canals, which provide every corner of the island with water from the mountains. They were built here already in the days of the first Portuguese colonizers. Along the canals many trekking routes of varying difficulty were created. Please bring: sports shoes, clothing suited to changing weather, drinks and lunch. The prices include transport and the care of an English-speaking mountain guide.

Levada Rabacal — level: average, approx. 13 km, trekking time: approx. 4 h, on the route: the high waterfall Risco and cascade "25 springs" consisting of many waterfalls, the UNESCO-protected laurel forest Laurissilva. Price - approx. 33 EUR; from hotels from the east of the island - approx. 37 EUR, from the west and the north - approx. 37 EUR.

Funchal — a visit to the city market where the inhabitants of Madeira meet. Located in the heart of the center of Funchal, the market offers the best fruits, vegetables and flowers on the island and local gastronomy and crafts. A walk through the historic city center: the port area, the 15th-century Manueline style cathedral, the Madeira parliament building, the citadel of St. Lawrence and the statue of Józef Piłsudski. Visiting the famous "Old Blandy Wine Lodge" winery, getting to know the production process of the exceptional Madeira wine, which has its unique taste due to its aging in oak barrels. Tasting. A drive to the Pico dos Barcelos (355 m) lookout point, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. Half-day trip. Price - approx. 34 EUR (includes: entrance tickets, wine tasting, Polish language guide care); from hotels from the east of the island - approx. 40 EUR, from the west and the north - approx. 60 EUR.

Levada to Furado — trekking on the levadas, unique irrigation channels. Level: medium, approx. 11 km, trekking time: approx. 5 hours. Route starts at Ribeiro Frio in the commune of Santana. Along the way there are wonderful views of the valleys and the peaks of the island. Stop and lunch at the old Herdade do Lombo das Faias farm. Continuation of trekking along the levada to Furado, an opportunity to admire the endemic flora and fauna of the laurel forest (so-called Laurissilva). Trekking ends with a descent to the Portela village. One should take suitable clothing and trekking footwear. Price - from approx. 43 EUR (includes: transport, supervision of a Polish-speaking guide, lunch at the farm).

 

Local excursions are organized by local travel agencies under the conditions fixed by them. It's possible to disorganize trips due to low number of applicants.
