Description
1. DAY. Meeting of participants at the airport. Flight to Rome. Transfer to the hotel in Chianciano Terme. Accommodation, overnight.
2. DAY. FLORENCE Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to FLORENCE - the city of Medici and the capital of Tuscany. The visiting program includes: the Franciscan Church of Santa Croce with Dante's cenotaph, the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli, Rossini, a walk through the Dante district to the religious heart of the city with the baptistery to which the famous Ghiberti Paradise Door leads, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with Brunelleschi's enormous dome and the belfry of Giotto. Walk through Piazza Signoria on Ponte Vecchio - Goldsmiths Bridge. Free time. Drive to the old wine-producing fattoria of Montecarlo. Dinner combined with tasting of regional products, including four Tuscan wines. On the menu: cold cuts, pasta with mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, vin santo toscano, cantuccini cookies, and limoncello or grappa for good digestion. Transfer to the hotel in Montecatini Terme, overnight.
3. DAY. VENICE Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to VENICE to the Tronchetto parking lot. A cruise on the famous Venetian canals to St. Brand. A walk from the Bridge of Sighs, next to the Doge's Palace, through St. Mark with the entrance to the Basilica of St. Mark, then the oldest bridge in the city - Ponte Rialto. Free time. Return cruise. Transfer to the hotel in the Venice / Padua area, check-in, half-board, overnight.
4. DAY. BOLONY Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to BOLONIA, visit to the capital of the Emilia-Romagna region - the city of arcades and cloisters. Visiting the historic center: Piazza Maggiore, Piazza del Nettuno with the Neptune Fountain, Basilica of San Petronio, Piazza di Ravegnata with its famous towers. Free time. Transfer to the hotel in Chianciano Terme, check-in, half-board, overnight.
5. DAY. PERUGIA - ASSISI Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the capital of the Umbria region - PERUGIA, located between Lake Trasimeno and the Tiber. A city with a rich history, founded by the Etruscans, witnessed several papal conclaves in the Middle Ages. Walk through the historic center along Corso Vanucci - the avenue bearing the name of the painter Pietro Vannucci, known as Perugino, who was born here. The route leads from the remains of the 16th-century papal fortress to the former Piazza Grande with its cathedral, the Maggiore fountain by Nicola and Giovani Pisano, and the Palazzo dei Priori - now the town hall. Free time. Transfer to Assisi. Sightseeing: St. Francis with the famous frescoes by Giotto, Piazza Comune with the portico of the Temple of Minerva, the Church of St. Clara. Transfer to the hotel in Rome, overnight.
DAY 6. ROME Breakfast. Visiting the historic center of ROME: the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, pass the Capitoline Hill and continue through Venetian Square, Piazza Navona, Spanish Square to the Trevi Fountain. Free time at the Pantheon - a wonderfully preserved ancient building, the temple of all gods (individual entry). Optional (with an extra charge on site): typical Roman dinner in the stylish restaurant. Return to the hotel, overnight.
7th DAY. VATICAN - ROME Breakfast. Transfer to the VATICAN - the capital of Christianity. Visiting the interior of St. Peter, a visit to the resting place of John Paul II. Walk around St. Peter. Then sightseeing in ROME. To begin with, a walk by the castle of St. Angelo in Campo de ’Fiori with picturesque tenement houses and palaces, among which there are various stalls, and above them is dominated by the gloomy statue of Giordano Bruno, a philosopher burned at the stake in this square by the inquisition. A visit to the former Jewish ghetto, which has kept its specific atmosphere to this day. Passageway to the only Roman island, Tiberina, with the church of St. Bartholomew, built at the end of the 10th century. A walk in the Trastevere district (Trastevere), where the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere is located, famous for its beautiful mosaics (individual entrance). Free time. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
8th DAY. Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to the airport, flight to Poland.
