We invite you to travel along the coast of the Ligurian Sea, considered one of the most beautiful in Italy. On the route, 3 countries and famous places, incl. San Remo, the Principality of Monaco, Nice, Genoa or the Cinque Terre. During the journey, an opportunity to visit Cortona and Pisa in the most famous region of Italy, Tuscany, the charming Bagnoreggio and Viterbo in Lazio, which is also known as the city of the Popes. It is a great feast for lovers of Italian landscapes, but there will also be a feast for the body: in Tuscany, we invite you to a tasting combined with dinner in an old wine-producing fattoria. Description
1. DAY. ROME Meeting of participants at the airport. Flight to ROME. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation, overnight.
2. DAY. VITERBO - BAGNOREGIO Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to VITERBO, also known as the city of popes. Here, 5 popes were elected and for 24 years the city was the official papal seat. A walk through the historic city center. Free time. Transfer to BAGNOREGIO, a walk through the "Dying City", spectacularly situated on the top of a tufa rock, surrounded by a deep moat, to which only one bridge leads. Drive to the old wine-producing fattoria of Montecarlo; dinner combined with tasting of regional products, including four Tuscan wines. On the menu: cold cuts, pasta with mushrooms, vin santo toscano, cantuccini, and for a good digestion of limoncello or grappa (drinks and juices for children). Transfer to the hotel in Montecatini Terme. Accommodation, overnight.
3. DAY. RAPALLO - SAN REMO Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to RAPALLO, a walk around the resort with a great marina and a beautiful old town. Transfer to SAN REMO, the most famous resort on the Ligurian Sea, known for its festivals, flower fairs and casino. Walk on Corso dell'Imperatrice with exotic palm trees and visit La Pigna - a picturesque medieval old town. Transfer to the hotel in the Sanremo area. Check-in, half-board, overnight.
4. DAY. THE PRINCE OF MONACO - MONTE CARLO - NICE Breakfast. Transfer to the PRINCE OF MONACO, known as Hong Kong of the Mediterranean Sea, the second smallest independent country in the world after the Vatican (1.9 km²). The route runs along the scenic road, the so-called Corniches. Sightseeing of the historic part of Monaco, occupying a rocky headland protruding 800 m into the sea: Rampe Major, Place du Palais in front of the Ducal Palace - the seat of the Grimaldi family from the 14th century, the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, where, among others, Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III. A walk around MONTE CARLO with the representative Place du Casino with casinos, the most famous being Monte Carlo Casino - one of the symbols of the city. Free time for a cup of coffee at the Cafe de Paris, the principality's most famous meeting point. Transfer to NICEA, the capital of the Cote d'Azur, located on the wonderful Bay of Angels. A walk along the coast of the Promenade des Anglais and the picturesque streets of the old town to the Castle Hill, from where there is a fabulous panorama of the city and its surroundings. Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight.
5. DAY. GENOA - LA SPEZIA Breakfast. Check out. Arrival in GENOA. Sightseeing: the gothic cathedral of San Lorenzo, the house of Christopher Columbus, Piazza del Ferrari with the San Carlo theater and Palazzo Ducale, Via Garibaldi with elegant palaces. Free time. Transfer to LA SPEZIA, the most important port city of northern Italy, as well as an important tourist center. Walk around the center, incl. visit to the 13th-century church of Santa Maria Assunta, walk next to the castle of St. Jerzy, a visit to the port. Free time. Transfer to a hotel in the area. Check-in, half-board, overnight.
DAY 6. PORTOVENERE - RIOMAGGIORE - MANAROLA Breakfast. Departure to Cinque Terre - five villages beautifully situated on a steep cliff, to which once led only by a sea, entered on the UNESCO list. A cruise from La Spezia to PORTOVENERE - known as the gate of Cinque Terre, a delightful yacht port and colorful tenement houses. A walk around the town. Continuation of the cruise through RIOMAGGIORE, known for its scenic walking paths, the most famous of which is the "Via del Amore" (Way of Love), unfortunately recently unavailable to tourists. The quayside is filled with colorful, multi-story tenement houses, almost in contact with the water, and over them are dominated by terraced vineyards. The cruise ends with MANAROLA with an intimate fishing port and a rocky coast full of small, charming coves. Return to La Spezia by train. Drive along a picturesque route with many tunnels carved in the rocks and picturesque views of the sea. Return to the hotel. Dinner, overnight.
7th DAY. PISA - CORTONA Breakfast. Check out. Arrival in PISA. Walk around the Square of Miracles with the famous Leaning Tower, visit the cathedral and the baptistery (without climbing the tower). Transfer to CORTONA - a walk through the narrow medieval streets of the city immortalized in the books by Frances Mayes "Under the Tuscan Sun". Free time. Transfer to the hotel in Chianciano Terme. Check-in, half-board, overnight.
8th DAY. ROME Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to the airport in Rome. Flight to Poland.
