Description
1. DAY. (22.12) Collection of participants at the airport. Flight to Rome. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation, free time, overnight.
2. DAY. ROME (23/12) Breakfast. Sightseeing in ancient ROME. Take the metro to the Colosseum. Entrance to the largest ancient Roman amphitheater, then entry to the Roman Forum. Passage by the Trajan's Forum, where the best-preserved ancient monument is located - Trajan's Column, to the Venetian Square. Passage through the Capitol. A moment of break on the observation deck with the panorama of the city. Further on, the Mouth of Truth, an island in the Tiber and a passage to Trastevere, the most Roman district of the city, full of restaurants and cafes. Free time. Return to the hotel, overnight.
3. DAY. ROME (24/12) Breakfast. Transfer by public transport to the center of ROME, in Piazza di Porta San Giovanni. Visit to the Basilica of St. John in the Lateran, the first papal seat to house one of the greatest relics of Christians - the Holy Staircase. Ride the metro to Piazza di Spagna with the most famous stairs in Europe, pass Caffè Greco on via del Corso, Piazza Colonna with the ancient Marcus Aurelius column, Parliament, Pantheon (without entry), Trevi Fountain. Christmas Eve dinner in one of the restaurants in Rome. Return to the hotel, overnight. Possibility to participate in the midnight mass conducted by the Pope in the Basilica of St. Peter at 21.30.
4. DAY. VATICAN - ROME (25/12) Breakfast. Transfer by metro to the VATICAN, free time or participation in the Urbi Et Orbi papal blessing, starting at 12.00. Then, for everyone, a tour of the square and the interior of St. Peter. A visit to the resting place of John Paul II. Continue along the route next to the Castle of St. Angel in the baroque Piazza Navona with the Quattro Fiumi fountain, where the Christmas market is held. Free time to buy souvenirs. Walk to Campo de'Fiori, then walk through the Ghetto di Roma (Jewish quarter) to the Polish Church of St. Stanislaus. Return to the hotel, overnight.
5. DAY. (26/12) Breakfast. Checking out. Depending on the time of departure: transfer to the airport or transfer by public transport to the center of Rome in Piazza del Popolo. Walk to Pincio Hill, one of the seven famous hills, known as the Roman Boulone Forest. There is a view point here, which offers a wonderful panorama of the city. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Poland.
