Description
1. DAY. Meeting of participants at the airport. Direct flight to Lamezia Terme. Transfer to the hotel near Cosenza. Accommodation, dinner, overnight.
2. DAY. VISVIUM - POMPEIAS (route: approx. 450 km) Breakfast. Check out. An excursion to VZUWIUSZ, the only active volcano in continental Europe. Access by coach to the car park in the volcano massif, approx. 30-minute walk to the observation deck at the crater. Transfer to POMPEY. Visiting the excavation site of the ancient city buried in volcanic ash in the 1st century CE Transfer to the hotel in Fiuggi. Accommodation, free time. Dinner, overnight.
3. DAY. ROME (route: approx. 90 km) Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to the vicinity of ROME. Transfer by metro to the historic center of the Eternal City. Entrance to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, pass the Capitoline Hill and continue through Venetian Square, Piazza Navona, Spanish Square to the famous Trevi Fountain. A break next to the Pantheon - a wonderfully preserved ancient building, a temple of all gods (possibility of individual entry; from 01/07/2023 for a fee: 5 EUR). Transfer to your hotel in Rome. Accommodation, free time. Optional (with an extra charge on site): typical Roman dinner in the stylish restaurant. Return to the hotel, overnight.
4. DAY. VATICAN - MONTE CASSINO (route: approx. 250 km) Breakfast. Check out. Transfer by metro to the Vatican - the capital of Christianity. Visiting the interior of St. Peter, a visit to the resting place of John Paul II. Walk around St. Peter. Visiting the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano and Santa Maria Maggiore. Free time. Transfer to MONTE CASSINO - the place of heroic fights of Polish troops during World War II. A visit to the Benedictine abbey and a moment of reflection at the Polish War Cemetery. Transfer to a hotel in the Naples area. Accommodation, dinner, overnight.
5. DAY. ISCHIA - ISCHIA PORTO - ISCHIA PONTE - FORIO (route: approx. 100 km) Breakfast. Free time for relaxation by the sea or optional (extra charge on site): day trip to the island of ISCHIA. Ferry crossing, transfer to ISCHIA PORTO and ISCHIA PONTE, where the greatest attraction of the island is located - Castello Aragonese, a huge castle-fortress on a cliff, built in the 15th century. It is worth visiting the dell'Asunta cathedral with well-preserved frescoes of Giotto's school. Transfer to FORIO. A walk in the gardens of La Mortella, where you can admire over 3,000 species of rare and exotic plants on an area of two hectares. Ferry crossing. Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight.
DAY 6. CAPRI - SORRENTO (route: approx. 100 km) Breakfast. Free time for recreation or optionally (for an additional fee on site): a cruise on CAPRI - the famous island in the Bay of Naples. All-day stay on a picturesque island adored by Roman emperors, known for its beautiful views and Mediterranean vegetation. Boat trip around the island. Visit to the town of Capri and Anacapri. Free time for relaxation and sunbathing. Ferry crossing to SORRENTO. A walk through the colorful town full of life. Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight.
7th DAY. NAPLES (route: approx. 250 km) Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to NAPLES, the capital of the Campania region. A walk along the nativity scene, during which you can see, among others: the ancient Basilica of San Gregorio Armeno, Piazza San Gaetano square. A visit to the cathedral of St. Januarius, whose origins date back to the thirteenth century. The cathedral is famous for the miracle of changing the blood of the patron saint of the city from a solidified form to a liquid form, as well as the seventeenth-century chapel and the Renaissance crypt with an urn with the remains of the saint. A visit to Castel Sant'Elmo - a medieval castle surrounded by defensive walls, now serving as a museum. Access by elevator to the top floor, from where there is a panoramic view of Vesuvius, the Bay of Naples, Centro Storico with clearly marked Spaccanapoli, Margellina district and Posilipo hill and Riviera di Chiaia. Visit Piazza del Plebiscito with the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola, Palazzo Reale San Carlo - one of the largest opera houses in Europe. Transfer to the hotel in the vicinity of Cosenza. Accommodation, dinner, overnight.
8th DAY. Breakfast. Check-out, transfer to the airport and direct flight to Poland. For people who extend their stay by a week's rest: breakfast, check-out, transfer to the airport and transfer to the selected hotel.
