Dalyan Tour — discover the Turkish Amazon River! The road, shaded by aromatic frankincense trees, leads to the village of Dalyan. High on the cliff, in a bend of the river, above the fascinating ancient port town of Kaunos, there are magnificent tombs carved in the rock. The Dalyan Delta with its golden sandy beach is a nature reserve and a refuge for Caretta caretta sea turtles and blue crabs. Route: a trip to the small town of Dalyan in the middle of a wide delta, one of the few preserved paradise sites of natural beauty and interesting history. On the way there is a stop in Gokova, time for photos from the viewing point. Then continuation of the trip and exploration of the ruins of ancient Kaunos. The town was founded around the 9th century BC. It used to be a Mediterranean port city, but over the centuries the mud from the Dalyan River cut the city off from the sea and today it lies a few kilometers from the sea. Kaunos is famous for its tombs of kings carved in the rock. Its residents believed in resurrection and were placing there food, money, jewelry and other valuable items, which had later been stolen. Then a boat trip and mud baths in Dalyan. Further along the route there is a magnificent 7 km long sandy Iztuzu Beach, one of the last breeding areas for Caretta caretta turtles, one of the endangered species and are protected. Ephesus-Aphrodisias-Pamukkale (2 days) — a wonderful trip in time to ancient times, visiting the famous Ephesus, Aphrodisias - the center of worship of the goddess of love and the miracle of nature - the phenomenal white terraces of Pamukkale. Walking along the ancient streets of Ephesus, you can admire such magnificent buildings as Odeon, the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian, the Trajan’s Fountain and the Grand Theater. The theater had as many as 25,000 seats, it was here that St. Paul preached to the Ephesians. Nowadays, the theater is the place of celebration of the local spring festival. A visit to the House of the Virgin Mary on the hill of Coressus is a spiritual experience. Aphrodisias is one of the oldest holy places in Turkey, the center of worship of the ancient Goddess Mother, identified with Greek Aphrodite. It is here that, thanks to the rich deposits of valuable marble, the famous sculpting school was established. The pride of the city was the monumental Temple of Aphrodite, later turned into a Christian basilica. It is also worth to see the ruins of a large theatre, stadium and other objects, as well as to visit the museum. Pamukkale is a miracle of nature. Springs from the ground with the temperature of 36.5°C run down from a height of 100 meters, forming limestone cascades and pools. Here are creamy stalactites that are formed when water flows through the pools. When strolling along the white terraces you can also admire the beautiful views. Route: Day 1: Departure from Bodrum to Selcuk, Lake Bafa and the ruins of the Temple of Artemis along the way. Further in the programme of the Museum of Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary. Then, a tour of Ephesus, starting with the entrance to the ancient city through the upper gate. Priene, Miletus, Didyma — feel like an ancient traveler and choose a trip leading through the most famous ancient cities. Priene is a famous ancient port and city, which urban planning was ahead of its time. Its author was the famous Greek urban planner and mathematician Hippodamos of Miletus. All the buildings were facing south in order to use daylight to the maximum, and the streets were crossing at right angles. After 200 years of reign of the Kingdom of Pergamon Priene became first a Roman and then a Byzantine city. Miletus, like Priene, was a great Ionian port, but it is mainly known as the home of philosophers and sages such as Thales, Hecataeus, Anaximander and Isidorus, the architect of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Didyma is famous for its monumental Temple of Apollo, one of the most sacred places in ancient times, known in the whole Greek world for its oracle, even more famous than Delphies. This giant temple measures 118 x 60 meters and is slightly larger than a football pitch. There were 128 decorated columns, some of which were up to 19.5 m high. It was connected with Miletus by a 19 km long holy road. Route: first stop is Bafa Lake. Next, a ride to Priene. Its most magnificent buildings are the Temple of Athena Polias of the 4th century BC, the Grand Theater, the parliament building, the fish market and city walls. The route continues to Miletus, the home of the Olympic Games, one of the largest and richest cities in Greece. Here you can admire the theater, where St. Paul bid farewell to the Ephesians, the Baths of Faustina, Delphinion - a small temple dedicated to Apollo Delphinios, the guardian of ships and ports, the Temple of Athena, the Nimfeum, the agora, the 15th century İlyas Bey Mosque. Rafting — unforgettable emotions, adrenaline, a taste of adventure, all in the incredible landscapes of the Dalaman River. Take up the challenge, mix sports and fun! The Dalaman River, in ancient times called Indos, has its source within Kocaş Mountain located near Dirmil. It flows into the sea approx. 8 km south of Ortaca, previously running through a narrow and deep valley, where its two tributaries merge: from Göktepe and from the Yaylacık Mountains, which are part of Western Taurus. The total length of the river is 229 km. Along the river section within the city of Muğla, between Köyceğiz and Dalaman, the following course levels are offered: R2 (difficulty level: 3+) and R3 (difficulty level: 4/3+). Difficulty level 3+: suitable for people aged 17-50, able to swim, without health problems. Route length: 13 km. Equipment: pontoon boat (for 6-7 people), life jacket, helmet, paddle, suit. Turkish instructors with experience. Participation form: by signing the form, the participant declares that he/she is participating in the trip voluntarily and at his/her own risk. Breakfast in the village before rafting, lunch in the village after rafting. The Turkish bath is permanently inscribed in everyday life, and is a place where people meet regardless of their social status or age. Hammam (the Turkish bath) is a mandatory attraction in Turkey.
