Exotic and unique Muscat, the capital of Oman, is the largest and most picturesque city of the country. It delights with its location itself - between the mountains in colourful sand and the blue sea. It amazes with cleanliness and vegetation. The beautiful, wide and sandy beaches are also impressive, full of different shaped shells, and the coast offers enthusiasts of diving a variety of attractions, among others, Fahal island with a tunnel and a sunken ship, as well as a rich coral reef around the Daymaniyat archipelago.
It is also worth visiting the Old Town with many very interesting museums and a famous market, which is an attraction in itself. In addition to souvenirs you can find literally everything from other parts of Oman and abroad, and the colourful pashminas, incense and incense burners, as well as gold and silver jewellery deserve special attention. In Muscat you can feel the space and wealth - it is full of luxury hotels and expensive cars. But, paradoxically, thanks to the Sultan’s decree, there are no glass, soaring skyscrapers and the newly established buildings still retain the traditional Arabic style. Fans of Arabic architecture will be delighted by a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Mosque - the largest and most beautiful mosque in Oman! The rich decorations, huge Persian carpet (the second largest carpet in the world!) and 35 chandeliers encrusted with Swarovski crystals are extremely impressive. Muscat is also a great starting point from which to explore Dubai, which is only an hour’s flight away.
