Breakfast. Visiting KAIROUAN - the fourth holy city of Islam. Founded in 670, it was a strategic point in the Arab conquest of North Africa and a great center of Muslim science and art. The rich architectural heritage of the city is under the patronage of UNESCO. A visit to the Grand Mosque - the oldest in North Africa, founded in 670, with a minaret resembling the tower of a Gothic castle. Then a visit to the beautifully decorated Sidi Sahbi mausoleum, also known as the Barbershop Mosque, with colorful mosaics and openwork stucco. Continue to admire the restored Aghlabid Basins, dating from the 9th century. In the city of Kairouan, the filming of the film "Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark" was filmed. Lunch. 6. DAY. TUNIS - CARTAGINA - SIDI BOU SAÏD (route: approx. 370 km)
Breakfast. Transfer to TUNIS, the capital of the country. A visit to the city center and a walk through the vast labyrinth of narrow streets of the Medina of Tunis. Transfer to CARTAGINA - now a district of Tunis, where the presidential residence and villa estates of the Tunisian elite are located, and in antiquity - the center of first the Phoenician empire and then the Roman province in North Africa. A visit to the Punic harbors that made Carthage a powerhouse in antiquity. Then, explore Tophet, an ancient sacred area dedicated to the deities Tanit and Baal.
