3. DAY. MOMBASA - P.N. TSAVO EAST (route approx: 185 km / 2.5 hours)
Breakfast. Checking out. Departure to TSAVO EAST National Park, one of the largest national parks in Kenya. Morning drive through the park and look for wild animals. Accommodation at the lodge. Lunch. After lunch, depart for an exciting safari amidst beautiful savannah landscapes with individual baobabs. The possibility of observing animals in their natural environment: giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, elephants and many species of birds. Return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight.
4. DAY. P.N. AMBOSELI (route: 315 km / 5 hours)
Early breakfast. Checking out. Transfer to the AMBOSELI National Park, which is entered on the UNESCO list as a biosphere reserve. From the park there is a beautiful view of the majestic "roof of Africa" - Kilimanjaro. You can see the top of the mountain only in the early morning or before sunset, when the sky is clear. Lunch in one of the lodges. Safari in the park, watching elephants, lions, giraffes, hippos, wildebeest, hyenas, jackals and other animals living in the park. Accommodation at the lodge. Dinner and overnight.
5. DAY. TAITA HILLS (route approx: 200 km / 3 hours)
Breakfast. Checking out. Morning animal spotting during the drive towards the TAITA HILLS nature reserve, which impresses with its beautiful landscapes and impresses with the number of animal species inhabiting the surrounding area. Transfer to lunch. Accommodation at the lodge. An afternoon safari deep into the savannah to spot elephants, zebras, the ubiquitous impalas and gazelles. An evening drive in search of animals, an opportunity to see the wild inhabitants of the reserve leading a nocturnal lifestyle, which just in the evening are starting to become active and visible. Program "Śniegi Kilimandżaro" jest dobrze zbalansowany pomiędzy safari a pobytem nad brzegiem oceanu. Podczas safari pojeździliśmy po 3 parkach narodowych i nocowaliśmy w 3 różnych (...)
Program "Śniegi Kilimandżaro" jest dobrze zbalansowany pomiędzy safari a pobytem nad brzegiem oceanu. Podczas safari pojeździliśmy po 3 parkach narodowych i nocowaliśmy w 3 różnych lodgach, z których 2 były bardzo dobre (5* i 4*) a jedna spartańska (Voi Safari Lodge) i Itaka powinna jak najszybciej ją wymienić. Zaskakująco wygodne są terenówki Toyota 4x4, natomiast bardzo ciasno w samolocie Enter Air. Pierwszy dzień wolny po przylocie daje możliwość aklimatyzacji, poznania hotelu i okolicy (plaży) i zrobienia drobnych zakupów w pobliskim centrum handlowym: herbata i kawa kenijska, zioła antymalaryczne Neem, tudzież testy na malarię po 2 USD zamiast 160 PLN w Polsce. Samo safari ciekawe ale pod względem ilości i bliskości zwierząt mniej niż w RPA czy Namibii gdzie dodatkowo występuje mniejsze ryzyko malaryczne. Jednak dla kogoś kto był pierwszy raz wrażenia są bardzo pozytywne. 2 wolne dni po powrocie z safari to możliwość wypoczynku przy basenie. Można też skorzystać z wycieczek fakultatywnych ale zwiedzanie Mombasy ze względu na wszechobecny brud i nędzę nie wydaje się ciekawe. My wybraliśmy snoorking, okazało się jednak że podróż do portu wypłynięcia zajęła 4,5 godziny a powrót niewiele mniej. Jednak chętnych nie brakowało i jak któś nigdy nie snoorkował to była aktrakcja przewyższająca niedogodnoći. Ja akurat snoorkowałem w kilku miejscach i w porównaniu do Egiptu a szczególnie Zanzibaru i Tajlandii wypadło to słabo chociaż znacznie drożej. Nie udało sie uniknąć jakiejś bakterii pokarmowej bo od ostatniego dnia pobytu do teraz (3 dni po powrocie) nadal kotłuje mi się w brzuchu. Dla zastanawiających się nad profilaktyką malaryczną - w rozmowach z kilkoma uczestnikami nikt nie potwierdził że coś bierze. Ja zacząłem 1 dzień przed wylotem brać Malarone ale skutki uboczne były fatalne i skończyłem na jednej dawce. Warto zabrać ze sobą lekarstwa żołądkowe, filtry UV i DEET bezwzględnie konieczne. Podziękowania za zaangażowanie od początku do końca należą się pilotowi, panu Michałowi. Bez wątpienia był to jeden z najmocniejszych punktów wycieczki. Podsumowując: ciekawa wycieczka z pewnymi mankamentami ale ogólnie można polecić.
