Fatima and Lisbon (2 days) -
Day 1: Transfer to the village Aljustrel with the houses of shepherds, to whom the Virgin Mary appeared and a visit to Fatima, one of the most frequented Marian sanctuaries in the world. Free time for a stroll and prayer. Transport to Lisbon for overnight stay in late afternoon. Optionally fado evening with dinner (approx. 40 EUR/person).
Day 2: Breakfast and depart to explore Lisbon. Belem district by the River Tag: Belem tower, Monument of Discoverers and the pearl of the Manuelino style - the Jeronimos Church. Transfer to the centre of the capital and walk through the charming corners of the city in Alfama district. Seville - a trip to the capital of Andalusia, where flamenco was born and the first corridas took place. The city captivates with landmarks and beautiful clothes of residents. Depart early in the morning. Passage through Christopher Columbus Avenue, where there are pavilions erected for the world exhibition in 1929. Stopover by the impressive Pavilion of Spain. Drive to the city centre and stroll through the most beautiful places of Seville: Santa Cruz district, the cathedral, Alcázar. Return in the evening. Price – approx. 55 EUR.
Historical Algarve – depart in the early morning. Drive to Silves, the former Arabic capital of Algarve, and a stroll through the old part of the city. Drive to Lagos, touring the capital of the region: the remains of the fortress, the first slave-trade place in Europe, the church of St Anthony. The last point of the programme is Cape St. Vincent, considered the end of the world in the middle ages. Return to hotels in the evening. Price – approx. 57 EUR.
Zoomarine waterpark (Guia) - oceanarium located only a few kilometres from Albufeira. Theme park, where you can see demonstrations of dolphins, whales and seals, as well as tropical and exotic birds. On site there is also an amazing aquarium with sharks, swimming pools, 4D cinema and many other attractions. Aqua Show waterpark (Quarteira) - one of the most modern family aquaparks in the region of Algarve. End of the World - day trip to the most beautiful areas of Algarve region. Walk through the town of Silves, the former capital of Al-gharb region, where a castle from Mauritanian times has been preserved (entry approx. 3 EUR/person). Transfer to Lagos - the city at the mouth of the River Bensafrim, from where in colonial times ships departed to conquer the world. Stroll around the city: first slaves fair in Europe and St. Anthony's Church. Opportunity to admire the castle (traditional wedding present for Portuguese kings) and to taste traditional ginginhi from a chocolate glass. Price – approx. 52 EUR.
Sintra, Cabo da Roca and Cascais – trip to the UNESCO-listed holiday city of Portuguese kings and wealthy noblemen, who built here their residences. Sintra is famous, among others, for its renaissance National Palace richly decorated in ceramic azulejos tiles and the mysterious complex of Masonic roots Quinta da Regaleira. Cabo da Roca - the most western cape of Europe. On the way back, drive through the gorgeous resort Cascais, famous for the Gates of Hell, an enormous citadel and fish market. Price – approx. 38 EUR.
