The region is famous for its fairy tale castles surrounded by extraordinary gardens and parks, one of them is the suburban residence of Moritzburg, which impresses with its baroque splendor. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the view of both outstanding works of art and picturesque landscapes. A stroll through the old town of Dresden is an amazing journey through history, where we will surely feel the atmosphere of the city's long and majestic history. A trained eye will notice many symbols of ties with Poland during the Saxon times. 1. DAY. GÖRLITZ - DREZNO (route approx. 130 km) Collection of participants. Departure to Germany. Transfer to GÖRLITZ, one of the most beautiful cities in Saxony and throughout Germany, where you will be delighted with beautifully decorated tenement houses, buildings representing Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance up to the Gryffindor era. A walk around this reverently restored city is also an opportunity to admire the places that formed the backstage of many international productions, including: Grand Budapest Hotel, Inglourious Basterds or In 80 Days Around the World. The city's film career earned him the nickname Görliwood. During the walk, we will see, among others: Rynek Górny, Church of St. Trinity, the Lower Market Square with the town hall, the Brown Deer tenement house, the Church of St. Peter and Paul, Kaufhaus - Art Nouveau department store. Transfer to Drezno, known as Florence on the Elbe. A walk through the streets of the Old Town: Zwinger Palace - a pearl of baroque architecture and a showcase of the city, which houses one of the most renowned art collections in the world; Semper Opera; Court Church; Residence Castle, which houses one of the oldest and most important museum complexes in the world; Taschenberg Palace, today a luxury hotel; The parade of the rulers of Saxony - a 102-meter-long painting made on the wall along Augustusstraße, an unusual work depicting the Wettin procession was made of porcelain tiles made in the Meissen manufactory; Brühl's terraces, known as the "balcony of Europe", from which there is a beautiful view of the Elbe and the buildings in the right-bank district of Neustadt; Frauenkirche church. 2. DAY. DREZNO - PILLNITZ GARDENS (route approx. 20 km plus steamboat cruise) Breakfast. Visiting the Albertinum, the Neo-Renaissance edifice houses the New Masters Gallery and a collection of sculptures. Visiting the New Green Vault, where you can admire, among others the craftsmanship of the baroque jewelery masters, it is also home to the famous 41-carat, the world's largest green diamond. Steamboat cruise to the Pillnitz district. An ideal opportunity to admire the area from the water. Visiting the PILLNITZ GARDENS, which are part of the historic palace and park complex, one of the most original in Europe. The palace and park are situated in an extremely picturesque location on the banks of the Elbe, surrounded by vineyards. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
3. DAY. DREZNO - MORITZBURG - MIŚNIA (route approx. 30 km plus steam train ride) Breakfast. A ride on the historic Lößnitzgrundbahn steam train from Radebeul to Moritzburg. The iron road runs in the valley of the vineyards and impresses with its charming landscapes. Visiting the famous hunting lodge - MORITZBURG PALACE. This water-based hunting lodge is one of the region's greatest tourism magnets. The 4-wing building with corner towers is situated on an artificial pond surrounded by a huge park. Transfer to MIŚNI and visiting the porcelain manufactory for which the city is famous. An opportunity to discover the history and secrets of the production of "white gold" and admire the rich collections of porcelain. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel, overnight.
4. DAY. BAUTZEN (route approx. 130 km) Breakfast. Transfer to BAUTZEN, i.e. Bautzen, the capital of Upper Lusatia, a city with an extremely long history, which over the centuries belonged to the Czech Republic and Poland, and today is an important German center gathering the Sorbian minority. A walk around the Old Town: the remains of fortifications with numerous towers, which are the city's showcase, the Main Market Square with beautiful historical buildings and a fountain, the town hall, the cloth hall, the city pharmacy, the Pod Złotym Orłem hotel, the Cathedral of St. Peter, the temple used jointly by Catholics and Protestants. Walk down Bogata Reichenstraße, the most elegant street in the city, with many pubs, shops and the noteworthy Rich Tower, also called the curve because of its deviation, Visit to the mustard manufactory. An opportunity to buy a specialty that the city is famous for. The cult mustard in the times of the GDR - Bautz'ner Senf, today it is produced in many flavors and has the status of a regional product. Transfer to Poland.
