Breakfast. Checking out. Transfer to CORTONA, described by Frances Mayes in the book "Under the Sun of Tuscany". A walk through the narrow, picturesque streets with preserved medieval buildings. Sightseeing: Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza Garibaldi, the Cathedral, the Church of San Francesco, the Gothic Church of San Domenico. Free time. Transfer to AREZZO. Sightseeing: St. Francis with the series of frescoes by Piera della Francesca "The History of the Holy Cross", Piazza Grande - a town square surrounded by medieval houses, known from the film by Robert Benigni "Life is Beautiful", the cathedral with magnificent stained glass windows. 3. DAY. PIZA - LUCKA
Breakfast. Transfer to PISA. Sightseeing: Miracles Square with the cathedral bell tower, i.e. the famous Leaning Tower (entrance individually), the interior of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and the baptistery. Walk through the Cavaliers Square to the church of Santa Maria della Spina, located on the banks of the Arno. Transfer to LUCKA and a walk along the city walls. Visiting the historic center: San Martino Cathedral with the famous image of Volto Santo, Napoleon Square, the medieval church of San Michele in Foro, the Romanesque Basilica of San Frediano with the relics of the city's patron saint, St. Alive. Breakfast. Checking out. Transfer to SAN GIMIGNANO, known as the medieval Manhattan, whose historic center has been entered on the UNESCO list. Sightseeing: cobbled Piazza della Cisterna, Piazza del Duomo; collegiate church with a series of frescoes by Bartolo di Fredi and Barna da Siena. Walk down San Giovanni Street, where you will find shops selling arts and crafts. Free time. Transfer to SIENA, one of the most beautiful medieval European cities. Sightseeing: St. Dominic with the relics of St. Catherine of Siena, Campo - the shell-shaped amphitheater square, where the famous Palio horse races take place, the cathedral with sculptures by Nicola and Giovanni Pisano, Donatello, Michelangelo and frescoes by Pinturicchio. 6. DAY. PIENZA - MONTE OLIVETO MAGGIORE - MONTEPULCIANO
Breakfast. A day trip to the small towns of southern Tuscany. It is here that you can often find roads framed by cypresses, immortalized by artists. Drive to PIENZA, a Renaissance gem: walk along the Corso to Piazza Pio II with the cathedral. The tour then continues to MONTE OLIVETO MAGGIORE. Visiting the shared part of the monastery: Chiostro Grande, decorated with a series of frescoes depicting the life of St. Benedict, the monastery church with unique choir stalls. Breakfast. Checking out. A trip around stunning Tuscan towns, located in one of the most charming regions of Tuscany - Val d'Orcia, entered on the UNESCO list. Gentle hills, cypresses, vineyards, towns wonderfully integrated into the landscape have been immortalized by the most famous artists for centuries. Transfer to SAN QUIRICO D'ORCIA with the Romanesque collegiate church. A stroll through the historic center, then a visit to the phenomenal BAGNO VIGNONI, where in the main square there is a Renaissance swimming pool with thermal water. Transfer to TERME DI SATURNIA, to the geothermal springs located in the town of Saturnia in Tuscany - one of the most famous thermal baths in Italy. The water flowing out of the ground is rich in minerals, has healing and therapeutic properties that were already discovered and used by the ancient Romans and Etruscans. Free time for a swim in the Cascate del Mulino (Mill cascades). There used to be a mill in this place, hence its name. Transfer to a hotel near Rome. Accommodation, dinner, overnight.
