We invite you to a fantastic tour of the picturesque corners of the Chapada Diamantina National Park! During the expedition you will discover, among others the Mucugezino River, as well as the city of caves - Iraquara, in the vicinity of which you will see the breathtaking Gruta da Pratinha, Gruta Azul and Gruta Lapa Doce. The trip also includes a descent to Poço Encantado, an underground lake and Poço Azul - a lake in a small cave, where the sun penetrating through the cracks in the afternoon turns the water into amazing shades of blue! The program also includes visiting Salvador - the capital of the state of Bahia and the city of music located on the peninsula, where you will see, among others colonial churches, the Cruz Caida monument commemorating the 450th anniversary of the city and the Mercado Modelo - a market with traditional crafts products. 1. DAY. Meeting of participants at the airport. Direct flight to Salvador, Brazil. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation, overnight.
2. DAY. SALVADOR Breakfast. Visiting SALVADOR, the first capital of Brazil, with strong African and Portuguese influences. The program includes visiting the so-called Of the Lower Town - Cidade Baixa. Transfer to Mercado Modelo, a market with traditional crafts. The market buildings are located in the old customs buildings opposite the famous Lacerda elevator that connects the Lower Town with the Upper Town. Free time at the market, where you can buy artistic handicrafts. Then a visit to the church of Nosso Senhor do Bonfim (Our Lord of Good Ending). The rococo façade, the neoclassical interior and the miracle room deserve attention. From the courtyard you can enjoy a wonderful view of the bay of Salvador, the marina, the Lacerda elevator. Also clearly visible is the Monte Serrat fort, one of the best examples of Brazilian military architecture. Lunch. Then, stroll down the alleys and slopes of the center of the historic Pelourinho district to the famous Cruz Caida monument, which is located near 4 archaeological sites where the ruins of the former city have been discovered. The heart of Pelourinho is the Terreiro de Jesus square and there are beautiful tenement houses around it. Visiting the Church of São Francisco, considered one of the most beautifully decorated churches in Brazil. Walk along Largo do Pelourinho and the surrounding area, which has many houses and churches from the 17th and 18th centuries. Some of these houses have been converted into museums, cultural centers and restaurants. During the period of slavery, the Pelourinho district was also a place where rebel slaves were punished. Return to the hotel, overnight.
3. DAY. LENÇÓIS - P.N. CHAPADA DIAMANTINA (route approx. 430 km) Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer from Salvador to LENÇÓIS, a city located in the CHAPADA DIAMANTINA region. The region occupies a large area in the inner state of Bahia. There are 38,000 km² of natural beauty, including Chapada Diamantina National Park. Check-in at the hotel, overnight.
4. DAY. P.N. CHAPADA DIAMANTINA: MUCUGEZINO - POÇO TO DIABO - IRAQUARA - PRATINHA - GRUTA DA PRATINHA - GRUTA AZUL - GRUTA LAPA DOCE - MORRO TO PADRE INÁCIO (route approx. 140 km) Breakfast. Departure to the CHAPADA DIAMANTINA NATIONAL PARK. During the day, the trail in the park goes along: MUCUGEZINO, POÇO DO DIABO, IRAQUARA, PRATINHA, GRUTA AZUL, GRUTA LAPA DOCE and MORRO DO PADRE INÁCIO. The route in the park includes both hiking trails (no special physical fitness is required) and car rides. The first stop is on the MUCUGEZINO River, only approx. 10 minutes' drive from the park gate. Then, unforced trekking along the riverbed to POÇO DO DIABLO and the waterfall that feeds the lake. Free time for a swim in the cool, crystal clear water. The route then continues to Iraquara, known as the city of the caves. A visit to the PRATHINA farm, beautifully situated by the lake with crystal water. Nearby is the Gruta da Pratinha cave with an extremely transparent water surface, then a short walk to GRUTA AZUL. The bottom and rich underwater life seem to be at your fingertips. Lunch on the farm. Your next stop will be at GRUPA LAPA DOCE, approximately 70 km from Lençóis. This cave is rich in limestone formations. It will take almost an hour to walk about 1 km through the cave. At the end of the day, ascend MORRO DO PADRE INÁCIO, from which there is an amazing panorama of the plateau. With any luck, being able to watch the sunset from the hill. Return to the hotel, overnight.
5. DAY. POÇO ENCANTADO - POÇO AZUL - IGATU (route approx. 300 km) Breakfast. Departure to the CHAPADA DIAMANTINA NATIONAL PARK. During the day, the trail in the park goes along: POÇO ENCANTADO and POÇO AZUL. Nearly two-hour drive to POÇO ENCANTADO, an underground lake. The descent to the lake is carried out with the use of protective equipment and a guide. Lunch. The route then leads to the lake's POÇO AZUL in a small cave, where the sun penetrating through the cracks in the afternoon turns the water into amazing shades of blue. Free time for a bath. Then, drive to the ghost town of IGATU, which was one of the main centers of diamond mining. Today, most of the ruins show the history of the city and the surrounding area. Return to the hotel, overnight.
6. DAY. SALVADOR (route approx. 430 km) Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to SALVADOR. Arrival in the afternoon, free time for sunbathing. Check-in at the hotel, overnight.
7. DAY. Breakfast. Checking out. Free time (depending on the time of departure), transfer to the airport and departure to Poland. For people who extend their stay for rest: breakfast, check-out, transfer to the airport, transfer to the selected hotel.
