4. DAY. KYKKOS MONASTERY - OLYMPIC MOUNTAIN - LANIA (route: approx. 160 km)

Transfer to LARNAKA, a popular resort on the south coast, a city rich in history, the birthplace of the ancient philosopher Zeno of Kition. Transfer to the Turkish part of the island, towards the ruins of the ancient SALAMINA, whose mythical founder, according to the legend, was Teukros returning from the Trojan War. Visiting the archaeological site. Transfer to FAMAGUSTA - until 1974 the most important port in Cyprus, a town picturesquely situated on the north-eastern coast. Walk through the old town surrounded by medieval walls, one of the best-preserved Venetian fortifications. Visiting the mosque of Lala Mustafa Pasha, the former church of St. Nicholas and the most magnificent gothic temple on the island. Free time. Transfer towards WAROSIA - an abandoned district of Famagusta. Before the conflict broke out, it was a bustling resort popular with world-famous stars. As a result of the events of 1974, Varosia was abandoned by Greek residents and has been controlled by the military ever since. Wycieczka spełniła nasze oczekiwania. Jesteśmy osobami po siedemdziesiątce i szczególnie liczy się dla nas komfort podróżowania, niezbyt męczący program . smaczne jedzenie do wyboru ( jak najbardziej sprawdził się tu szwedzki stół). Atutem było to, że przez cały czas wycieczki objazdowej mieszkaliśmy w jednym hotelu i codziennie wyruszaliśmy na zwiedzanie o stałej, niezbyt wczesnej porze. Nasza pani pilot Marta okazała się osobą kompetentną, życzliwą ,pomocną, umiejącą zadbać o dobrą atmosferę w naszej grupie.

Wycieczka udana, pora roku świetna na zwiedzanie, miejsca, przyroda i zabytki bardzo interesujące. Przewodniczka p. [...] super - duża wiedza, umiejętność jej przekazania, opiekuńcza, profesjonajna i zaangażowania. Program do korekty - zła proporcja czasu wolnego (za dużo) do czasu zorganizowanego zwiedzania - można by było dużo więcej na to przeznaczyć np. więcej czasu na muzeum a mniej na własne chodzenie po sklepach czy kawiarniach. Hotel kategorycznie do zmiany - bardzo hałaśliwe instalacje niedające spać na wyższych piętrach, czystość też pozostawiająca wiele do życzenia. Jedyny jego plus to kuchnia - wyżywienie bardzo dobre.

Podziękowania dla pilota p. [...] za wiedzę którą się z nami dzielił, ciekawie i barwnie opowiadał o historii Cypru, religiach, zwiedzanych obiektach. Program wycieczki dośc ciekawy a w kilku miejscach można by było pobyć nieco dłużej ale miałam wrażenie, że kierowca i miejscowa przewodniczka mają 8h dzień pracy, wyjazd 8.30 przyjazd 16.30. Hotel Navarria - pomimo wielu uwag o hałasie dochodzącym z pobliskiej ruchliwej drogi, niezbyt czystych pokojach i łazienkach NIESTETY nadal stanowi bazę wypadową dla tej wycieczki. Z reguły jeżdżę na wycieczki objazdowe, pierwszy raz z ITAKĄ, ale tak brudnych szyb w autokarze to nigdy nie spotkałam. Zawilgocone/zamglone duże powierzchnie szyb przez które niewiele widać, jak oglądać krajobraz, jak robić zdjecia. Na trasę Chirokitia -Larnaka podstawiony został inny autokar , w którym kilka szyb oblepione było czarnym pyłem - SZOK!!. [dokumentacja foto]. Zgłosiłam to do pilota p. [...].

Program wycieczki w porządku, ale stanowczo za dużo kościołów, czuliśmy się chwilami jak na pielgrzymce. Wycieczka nie męcząca. Hotel o key, przede wszystkim czysto, ręczniki wymieniane, podczas siedmiodniowego pobytu 2 razy zmieniano pościel. To duży plus. Wyżywienie urozmaicone i smaczne. Co do autokaru to brudne oparcia z tyłu siedzenia , szyby zakamienione od środka , że widok przez nie był ograniczony. W związku z tym podróż autokarem była nie komfortowa. Pilot z dużą wiedzą historyczną ale trochę chaotyczny. Muzykę lokalną posłuchaliśmy w autokarze w ostatnim dniu wycieczki i to przez chwilę, trochę to słabo wypadło jak na dorobek muzyczny tego kraju.

Miejsca kultu też robią wrażenie, wycieczka fakultatywna na ruiny jest obowiązkowa, chyba, że ktoś chce cały dzień spędzić bez reszty uczestników ;)

Wycieczka spełniła moje oczekiwania. Plan wycieczki został zrealizowany w całości.Pilotka Pani Marta zrobiła kilka milych niespodzianek pokazując miejsca i atrakcje których nie było w programie. Wielkie podziękowania dla Pani Marty za profesjonalizm, wiedzę i cierpliwość . Pięknie, barwnie i ciekawie opowiadała Nam o historii Cypru, zwyczajach, ludziach , obiektach i topografii. Zachęcała do samodzielnego poznawania najbliższej okolicy .Pani Marto wielki szacun! Wycieczka prowadzona w spokojnym tempie. Zawsze był czas na kawę ,inne smakołyki , zakupy lub relaks na plaży. Dla mnie i mojej koleżanki wielkim plusem było położenie hotelu (200m od plaży), co umożliwiało nam spędzanie czasu przed kolacją na długich spacerach brzegiem morza.

Generalnie z wycieczki jesteśmy zadowoleni. Bogaty program, który pozwalał w spokojnym tempie zwiedzić najważniejsze miesca na wyspie. Plusem jest pobyt w tym samym hotelu w czasie całego pobytu. Jesli chodzi o minusy to na pewno minusem był mało wygodny autokar, który został podstawiony na wycieczkę fakultatywną. Hotel też ma lata świetności już za sobą, jedzenie przeciętne. Jesli chodzi o pracę pilota, to generalnie pilot miał bardzo dużą wiedzę odnośnie Cypru i dużo bardzo opowiadał, natomiast minusem są sprawy organizacyjne, zebranie pieniedzy od grupy dopiero w 4 dniu pobytu oraz ogólna mała sympatia okazywana.
