If you have associated Turkey with crowds of travelers, unbearable noise, hundreds of hotels, unfinished buildings and huge street traffic, Sarigerme and Dalyan are sure to surprise you. In this unique place you are going to experience true leisure, peace and relaxation in the bosom of nature.

Dalyan – located approx. 12 km from the coast of Mediterranean Sea, approx. 67 km from Fethiye, approx. 90 km from Marmaris, approx. 30 km from Sarigerme, approx. 30 km from Dalaman International Airport. The biggest attraction of this region is that it is an ecological zone, ideal for those who want to experience true peace in the bosom of nature, in the “greenest” part of Turkey. The area surrounded by the boundaries of the Landscape Park, under protection since 1988, includes Koycegiz Lake, Dalyan River which connects it with the Mediterranean Sea, and the famous Iztuzu beach, where the Caretta Caretta sea turtles lay their eggs. All is surrounded by a picturesque mountain range, overgrown with pine forests. In addition to the impressive turtles, we can admire more than 150 species of birds and butterflies in the area. Special care for the preservation of the ecosystem was the reason for prohibition on construction of any facilities right next to the beach, all hotels are located in the vicinity of the city, about 10-12 km from the sea, and the transfer to the beaches takes place most often by boat.

Beach – Iztuzu Beach can be reached from Dalyan by the river, which winds through a maze of hundreds of islets, surrounded by lush vegetation, and the river delta seen from above creates an amazing, breathtaking landscape. The beach can be reached in two ways. The first one is a water route, a boat cruise on the picturesque river, which lasts about 30 minutes and is in itself a huge attraction, especially that hotels provide this transfer free of charge. The second one is a land route, local minibuses that take you from the city to the other end of the beach, with a travel time of about 15 minutes. Iztuzu Beach is about 6 km long and several dozen meters wide, on one side covered with warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, on the other side with much cooler waters of the Dalyan River. The descent on the sea side is very gentle, ideal for families with children, and the beach is truly sandy!

Mud baths – one of the most important points in the programme of every trip to Dalyan is the mud baths near Koycegiz Lake. These baths, apart from great fun and unforgettable experience, cleanse the skin, beautify and cure some diseases. We also recommend thermal baths in the local waters, which reach a temperature of 40°C and contain many minerals, helping in the treatment of diseases such as rheumatism, skin diseases, diseases of the nervous and digestive systems, diseases of liver, spleen and intestines. This place is known all over the world and was visited by famous people such as actor Dustin Hoffman or singer Sting.

Dalyan Tour — high on the cliff, in a bend of the river, above the fascinating ancient port town of Kaunos, there are magnificent tombs carved in the rock. The Dalyan Delta with its golden sandy beach is a nature reserve and a refuge for Caretta caretta sea turtles and blue crabs. Route: a visit to the small town of Dalyan in the middle of a wide delta, one of the few preserved paradise sites of natural beauty and interesting history. Visiting the ruins of ancient Kaunos. The town was founded around the 9th century BC. Kaunos is famous for the tombs of kings carved in the rock - its inhabitants believed in resurrection and placed food, money, jewelry and other valuable objects in the tombs (however, they were stolen and have not survived to this day). Then a boat trip to the site of mud baths - it is believed that they help with rheumatic diseases, as well as cleanse and revitalize the skin. Supposedly, 1 mud bath makes you 10 years younger! When the body is covered with mud you have to dry out in the sun and then wash the mud away in a sulfur pool with a temperature of 40 degrees. Further along the route there is a magnificent sandy Iztuzu Beach (7-kilometer long), one of the last breeding areas for turtles (Caretta caretta) being one of the endangered species protected by UNESCO. From May to October, the turtles lay their eggs here, look after them and finally take the children turtles to the sea. Price - approx. 40 EUR
