Ogólnie hotel na początku wejścia nie wygląda źle. Nasz pokój był przy basenie w środku było ok. Jednakże,słyszeliśmy innych turystów narzekających na pokoje. Serwis sprzątający codziennie, wymiana ręczników, pościel 1 raz na pobyt 8 dniowy. Basen głęboki, nie do końca czysty (wokół). Brodzik wypadająca część od filtra, widoczna dziura. Jedzenie normalne, bez szału. Na pewno nie była to lokalna kuchnia grecka. Monotonne, frytki, mięso...śniadanie jajka itp. były owoce: jabłka, pomarańcze. Ciasta, lody; wiecznie roztopione. Serwis był nie do końca czysty. Szklanki bardzo dużo osadu białego, talerze zdarzało się,że niedomyte. Widać,że personel bardzo się starał, szefowa pilnowała podczas posiłków. Pani przy wejściu do restauracji kochana, codziennie uśmiechnięta. Widać,że bardzo jej zależało aby do każdego zagadać. Bardzo miła również dla dzieci. Napoje normalne, soki z automatu. Drinki słabe. Widok z restauracji piękny, szkoda,że ktoś postawił śmietniki i to psuło wszystko. Nie jest to hotel na 4 gwiazdki na pewno. Max 3.

Hotel Summer Beach należy do sieci siostranych hoteli Mare i to jego najwiekszy atut. W hotelu nikt nie infromuje o tym, że do dyspozycji gości jest także strefa basenowa hotelu Mare Garden oraz strefa plażowa przed hotelem Mare Blu (w tym drugim hotelu można korzystać z baru basenowego tylko na wynos!). Plaża jest niewielka, paskowa z dużą ilością drobynch kamyczków - bardziej komfortowo jest chodzić w butach do pływania). Niestety dostępnych leżaków, jak na tyle hoteli jest niewiele, aby załapać się na wolny leżak należy już przed śniadaniem "zaklepać go" ręcznikiem. Obsługa nie poczuwa się do tego, aby zapobiegać takim procedurom mimo, że są one niezgodne z polityką hoteli. Nie potrafię znaleźc aspektów, za które hotelowi Summer Beach należą się jego 4*. W kwestii pokoi jest loteria - jedni dostają małe pokoje z łazienką, w której nie ma gdzie położyć kosmetyczki, a brodzik w prysznicu jest na tyle mały, że podczas mycia zalewa się całą podłogę w łazience. Meble w pokojach są stosunkowo nowe natomiast klimatyzacja pozostała z czasów budowy hotelu, a kwestia dużej szpary pod drzwiami wejściowymi jest na tyle problematyczna, że praktycznie codziennie do pokoju dostawały się owady. W pokoju nie ma wywieszek "nie przeszkadzać", nie ma tam też prywatności. Panie od sprzątania w swoich wyznaczonych godzinach wchodzą do pokoi niezależnie, czy kogoś nie ma, czy ktoś akurat lezy w łózku i prosi, aby nie sprzątać. Wchodzą i myją podłogi - jako gość uważam to za bardzo niekomfortowe. Jako podróżni, którzy transfer do hotelu mieli po kolacji otzymaliśmy po połówce złożonej kanapki z majonezem i serem oraz jabłko pozostawione na talerzu w pokoju poza lodówką. Podczas przyjęcia gości do hotelu panowało duże zamieszanie, najważniejszą kwestią było uiszczenie podatku turystycznego w wysokości 7 euro za każdą dobę hotelową, a rozdanie opasek i kwestie informacyjne dla gości zostały praktycznie pominięte, o ile ktoś się nie upomniał. Posiłki serwowne są w restaracji położonej przy markecie Proton na przeciwko hotelu Summer Beach. Jedzenia było wystarczająco, było jednak monotonne i nakierowane na brytyjskich gości - śniadania angielskie, jajecznica bardzo ścięta. Z owoców do posiłków tylko pomarańcze i grejpfruty (przy basenach arbuzy, czasem melon, czereśnie lub truskawki). Brak zup, często brak opisów przy bemarach, przez co nie wiadomo jaki gulasz chcemy nałożyć. Grecka zasada życia siga-siga nie obowiązuje przy posiłkach, kiedy spóźnisz się na posiłek minutę wracając z wycieczki to możesz pocałować klamkę ponieważ kuchnia od razu jest zamykana. Czasem na stołąch brakowało sztućców, kubki do kawy i herbaty nie sprawdzane przed wyłożeniem - często z osadem po poprzednim korzystaniu. Obsługa hotelowa nielokalna, raczej bez zarzutu. Największy promyczek to Damian z baru w głównej restauracji, który jest przemiły! Animacji nie ma wcale!!! w hotelu Summer Beach - na plaży o 10:30 joga, a w hotelu Mare Garden o 11:30 - wodny aerobik i to jedyne atrakcje dla wczasowiczów, Hotel Summer Beach nie posiada żadnych urozmaiceń dla gości. Z hotelu nie ma widoku na morze, trzeba do niego przejśc uliczką obok restauracji (po drodze mijając śmieci i ogrom kubłów śmietnikowych). Zamiast na plażę hotelową polecam udać się spacerkiem około 10 minut w prawą stronę wzdłuż plaży na obszar za hotelami. Plaża tam jest piaskowa, zejście do wody wygodne i przyjemne. Można posiedzieć na ręczniku, czyli tak samo jak na plaży należącej do hotelu. Miasteczko, do którego mozna udać się w ciągu dnia lub wieczorem po kolacji tętni życiem - można zaszyć się w knajpce, obejrzeć mecz (jak my przy okazji EURO), zjeśc lokalną, smaczną kuchnię. Cena nieadekwatna do jakości hotelu.

Jeśli chodzi o hotel to dostaliśmy pokój ładny, widać że odremontowany, klima działała bez zarzutów, pokój sprzątany codziennie, pani czyściła nawet umywalki i szafki, oczywiście gdy się uprzatnelo swoje kosmetyki, w przeciwnym razie nie chciała nic ruszać, codziennie świeże ręczniki, mycie podłogi, a raz nawet została zmieniona posciel. Stołówka była oddalona od hotelu przez ulice, co dla nas było fajne, bo nie czuliśmy się w niej jak w hotelu tylko w restauracji. Jedzenie bardzo smaczne, świeże, duży wybór, różne rodzaje mięs codziennie, różne salatki oraz dodatki do mies. Każdy znalazł coś dla siebie. Ponadto codziennie pyszne słodkości oraz lody. Napoje rozrabiane z wodą, drinki słodkie jak wszędzie ale wystarczyło dogadać się z barmanem i lał co się chciało poza tym bardzo miła obsługa, przesympatyczny i pomocny barman Damian. Jeśli chodzi o położenie hotelu to wszędzie blisko, do plaży szło się po prostej drodze z hotelu, obok hotelu dwa sklepiki gdyby czegoś brakło, restauracje i tawerny, które nie były uciążliwe nocą ponieważ zamykały się ok. 00-1:00 w nocy max. Dużym plusem są dwa baseny do dyspozycji gości (ten w drugim hotelu naprawdę lux) i leżaki na plaży których było dosyć dużo, nigdy się nie spotkało że wszystko było zajęte, zawsze się znalazło miejsce, bar przy każdym basenie i plaży dostępny to super sprawa. A jeśli chodzi o wymeldowanie było do godz. 11 ale wystarczyło nie oddawać opasek i dalej mogło się korzystac że wszystkiego. Miejscowość położona praktycznie w centrum Krety gdzie można zwiedzić obydwie czesci tylko czasu brak. Ale na pewno tu wrócimy, piękna kapliczka na morzu i piaszczysta plaża. Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni że za taką cenę było tyle udogodnień, miły personel oraz duży wybór jeżdżenia i atrakcji. Brak animacji ale akurat dla nas to na plus. Takiego miejsca szukaliśmy!

Bardzo fajne miejsce na wakacje dla osób , które chcą spędzić czas nie tylko na plaży. Dla plażowiczów leżaki za darmo, dwa baseny do dyspozycji - jeden w hotelu - "siostrze". W pobliżu piękne jezioro, do Rethymno i Chanii wygodny dojazd autobusem. Łatwo wypożyczyć samochód, którym łatwo dojedzie się do pięknych miejsc zachodniej Krety. Hotel znajduje się w niedużej, bardzo przyjemnej miejscowości, blisko do jej centrum i do portu, w którym można łódkę wynająć. Ceny pamiątek i ciuchów niższe niż w większych ośrodkach. W opiniach przed wyjazdem czytałam, że posiłki są monotonne. Dla mnie kuchnia była świetna, na lunch codziennie inna ryba i inne mięso. Podano np. doskonale upieczoną jagnięcinę, pan zarekomendował do niej świetny sos. Bardzo smacznie zrobione warzywa, duży wybór. Niedużo animacji, ale aerobik w wodzie był doskonałą zabawą.

U nas był pokój rodzinny, więc miał 35 m. Wyżywienie mogło być bogatszym, ale kawałek mięsa był zawsze. Animacji nie wymagamy, więc nie mogę o tym powiedzieć. Basen też nie oceniam bo nie korzystaliśmy, wygląda nie żle.

Panie przez 7 dni tylko 2x nie zapomniały zostawić czystych ręczników i papieru toaletowego. Z plaży, gdzie były bezpłatne leżaki nie korzystaliśmy, po 1 ciągle zajęte, po 2 bardzo kamienista plaża. Wypożyczalismy obok płatne leżaki, gdzie plaża była piaszczysta. Basen hotelowy otwarty do 18.30, za co duży minus.

Standard hotelu zdecydowanie niższy niż się spodziewaliśmy. Obsługa hotelu bardzo miła i pomocna. Malutki basen hotelowy. Jeżeli chodzi o jedzenie zawsze można było coś sobie wybrać, ale w 4 dniu pobytu już robiło się monotonne. Okolicach hotelu spokojna i mało zatłoczona. Duży plus za leżaki na plaży z których można było codziennie korzystać. Możliwość korzystania z baru przy plaży, co przy tak wysokich temperaturach było dużą zaletą. Zaledwie 40 km do miasta Rhetymno, do którego sprawnie można podjechać autobusem, który zatrzymuje się niedaleko hotelu przy stacji benzynowej. Ogólnie wyjazd oceniam dobrze, miło spędzony czas.

Leżaki z reguły były przy basenie dostępne. All inclusive jak najbardziej w porządku, jedzenia dużo i urozmaicone, wszystko smacznie przyrządzone aż wszystkiego chce się spróbować. Okolica bardzo przyjemna, gdyż jest to nieduża miejscowość, wiec nie ma tłumów a w okolicy wiele tawern i sklepików gdzie można spokojnie zakupić pamiątki i nie tylko. Blisko jest szeroka piaszczysta plaża i są dostępne leżaki przy morzu ale akurat w miejscu gdzie jest jedyny kawałek plaży kamienisty. Poza tym plaża bardzo ładna i piaszczysta, można się przespacerować nad zatokę, gdzie wpływa rzeka i ten kawałek plaży jest niezwykle urokliwy. Można tez pójść wyżej na niewysokie wzgórze, skąd można podziwiać Georgioupolis a także można spotkać lokalnych rybaków łowiących na skałach kałamarnice. Polecam to miejsce i chętnie wrócę tam w przyszłym roku na wakacje. Do Rethymnon mozna sie dostać greckim pks-em(KTEL) bez problemu ,do Chani również. Przystanek autobusowy KTEL 5 minut od hotelu bardzo spacerowym krokiem.
