3. DAY. SIGIRIYA - ANURADHAPURA
Drive to one of the most interesting points of the program, the ruins of the SIGIRIYA rock fortress. Sightseeing: Sri Maha Bodhi's sacred tree, derived from the strain of the tree under which the Buddha meditated when he was enlightened. It is the oldest documented tree in the world, over 2,200 years old. Breakfast. Transfer to the town of POLONNARUWA, the medieval capital of Ceylon. The entire area of the archaeological park is on the UNESCO list. Visiting the majestic ruins during a bicycle trip: the royal palace, audience hall, baths, Hindu temples and the Atadage Temple, i.e. the Temple of the Tooth. Transfer to HABARANA, a small village picturesquely situated among untouched nature. This visit is a unique opportunity to get to know the everyday life of Sri Lanka. Horse-drawn ox carts, a cruise on Lake Hiriwadunna and a visit to a traditional farmhouse. Transfer to one of the largest and most interesting national parks in Sri Lanka - MINNERIYA, where there are vast wetlands inhabited by various species of animals: wild elephants, exotic birds (over 160 species), reptiles and beautiful butterflies. Afternoon safari in the park - a great adventure close to nature, where wildlife is at your fingertips. Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight.
5. DAY. DAMBULLA - MATALE
Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the town of DAMBULLA. Visiting the complex of rock temples, entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List. They are some of the most beautiful temples in Sri Lanka. On an area of over 2,000 m², there are 150 wall paintings from the 18th century and one of the world's largest representations of the Buddha, which is carved into the rock. Transfer to MATALE and a visit to the Spice Garden. Transfer to a hotel in the Kandy area. Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
6. DAY. ROYAL BOTANICAL GARDEN - KANDY
Breakfast. A visit to the ROYAL BOTANICAL GARDEN - a botanical garden, where over 60 hectares of land you can find over 4,000 plant species of Sri Lanka, Asia and other exotic countries. A visit to the Precious Stones Museum. The possibility of shopping. Visiting KANDA, the last capital of ancient Ceylon, treasury, culture, arts and crafts. Visiting the temple where the relic of Buddhists - Buddha's tooth - and a visit to the local bazaar are kept. In the evening, a show of traditional dances. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
7. DAY. AMBULUWAWA - NUWARA ELIYA
Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the city of Gampola, the former capital of Sri Lanka from the 14th century, where on the AMBULUWAWA hill (1087 m above sea level) there is a multi-religious sanctuary with a Hindu kovil, a Muslim mosque, a Christian chapel and several Buddhist temples. The hallmark of the hill is a 48-meter tower, modeled on Buddhist stupas, with a winding and narrow staircase leading to the top. For volunteers: ascent to the top of the Ambuluwawa tower. Then a ride in motoriksha, the so-called tuk-tukami, which are the primary means of communication in Sri Lanka. Transfer to the train station, from where you will begin your half-hour train ride through the amazing landscapes of the jungle and mountains. On its way, the train passes the villages scattered among the fields. It is a unique opportunity to get to know the daily, difficult life of Sri Lanka. Transfer to the center of KOLOMBO, the largest city which was the capital of Sri Lanka until 1982. Panoramic ride through Colombo: shopping districts, Cinnamon Gardens. Visiting the fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison. The bazaar district, home to a Hindu temple with wonderful carvings, and the Dutch Wolfendhal Church. It is worth buying the local tea, cashew nuts and local ceramics for unique souvenirs. A visit to the replica of the Aukana Buddha statue and to Independence Square. Fantastyczna wycieczka z bardzo dobrym, lecz należy zaznaczyć z intensywnym i różnorodnym planem. W znacznym stopniu intensywność wycieczki niwelują raz 3 a następnie 2 noclegi w tym samym hotelu. Wycieczka wokół niezwykłej historii, przyrody i kultury wyspy. Jak zwykle o zadowoleniu często decydują szczegóły, w tym uczestnicy i osoba pilota. W naszym przypadku, cała bez wyjątku grupa uczestników była fantastyczna, a pilot i przewodnik; Pan [...] - rewelacyjny. Polecamy. Barbara i Adam.

Wycieczka ciekawa , niezbyt męcząca, hotele jak na wycieczkę objazdową przyzwoite, woda butelkowana , czajniki, kawa, herbata w pokoju, wyżywienie w mojej ocenie bardzo dobre z możliwości spróbowania lokalnych potraw. Przy ocenie pokoi hotelowych trzeba wziąć pod uwagę gdzie jesteśmy, jak się otworzy okno to goście pewni, a czasami bez otwierania. Program przedstawiony w ofercie ma niewiele wspólnego z realizowanym jeśli chodzi o kolejność i czas poświęcony na poszczególne atrakcje. W moim odczuciu skrócono niektóre punkty programu aby " zrobić miejsce" dla dodatkowych fakultetów nie uwzględnionych w programie, ostatni dzień składał się z samych fakultetów i przejazdu. W przypadku naszej grupy, ale podobno prawie zawsze ta sama wycieczka jest organizowana w dwóch standardach - dwa autokary: pierwszy, i dla last minute w gorszym standardzie niestety jak masz pecha to przy pełnej cenie dostaniesz się do drugiego autokaru jak miało miejsce w naszej " gorszej " grupie. Uwaga przejazd pociągiem w programie to nie to co na zdjęciu , za takie widoki trzeba dopłacić .

Jestem bardzo zadowolona z wycieczki po Sri Lance. Bałam się standardu autokarów oraz długich przejazdów, autokary jak na lokalne warunki były bardzo dobre, przejazdy niezbyt długie, oprócz ostatniego dnia. Przewodniczka to właściwa osoba we właściwym miejscu, ma ogromną wiedzę i doświadczenie, bardzo dobrze zna Sri Lanke i lokalne zwyczaje. Standard hoteli wysoki jak na objazdówkę, jest możliwość wykąpania się w basenie, a ostatniego dnia nawet w oceanie. Wycieczka nie jest przeładowana, nie jest bardzo intensywna, więc człowiek nie potrzebuje tygodnia urlopu po urlopie :) Wejście na Sigiriyę to chyba najpiękniejszy punkt programu. Ponownie ogromny plus dla Pani Asi, że jeśli ktoś nie czuł się na siłach to znajdowała mu zajęcie, a samo wejście rozbijała na kilka mniejszych fragmentów, by nikt nie odstawał od grupy. Największe podziękowania dla Pani Asi za zorganizowanie masażu ayurwedyjskiego, niesamowite przeżycie, super ulga po podróży i relaks. Z minusów - nie podobała mi się organizacja safari, nie mam pretensji do biura, bo tak to po prostu wygląda na miejscu. Nie jest to Kenia, safari polega na 'ściganiu' słoni, które po jakimś czasie po prostu się nudzą. Myślę, że brakuje też lokalnego przewodnika, który potrafiłby przekazać informacje o mijanej faunie i florze, która jest niesamowita. Brakowało mi komentarza, nawet w języku angielskim. Jeszcze jedna ważna sprawa - jedzenie! Byłam nastawiona na możliwość popróbowania lokalnych, wegetariańskich potraw. Na wycieczce była możliwość dokupienia lunchu w kilku miejscach, właśnie z lokalną, ale dostosowaną pod turystów kuchnią. Dostosowana pod turystów oznacza, że dania dało się zjeść bez łez lecących z oczu. W hotelach lokalne przysmaki były zrobione 'po lankijskiemu' i były KOSZMARNIE pikantne. Dlatego fajnie, że na wycieczce można też popróbować ich wersji ze smakiem, a nie tylko z bólem w ustach ;) Myślę, że to jeden z lepszych kierunków, aby rozpocząć swoją przygodę z wyjazdami na egzotykę. Istotne uwagi dla osób planujących wyjazd na tę wycieczkę: konieczne trzeba wziąć ze sobą długie spodnie/sukienki na dwa dni, kiedy zwiedzamy świątynie, warto mieć strój kąpielowy, bo jest czas na basen, można wziąć ze sobą krótkie skarpetki - po świątyniach spacerujemy boso, a kamienie są rozgrzane, pierwszy dzień warto poświecić na zakupy pamiątek, potem nie będzie aż takiego wyboru, głównie u lokalsów :) weźcie ciuchy z przewiewnych materiałów, ale na poranne zwiedzanie Nuwara Eliya koniecznie zabierzcie ciepły sweter lub lekką kurtkę, bo jest najzwyczajniej w świecie zimno :) zlitujcie się i nie bierzcie słodyczy dla dzieci, jeśli już chcecie pomóc lokalnej ludności to zostawcie w pokoju ciuchy, kosmetyki, zeszyty czy kredki (lub przekażcie je przewodniczce/przewodnikowi), oni już odpowiednio je rozdysponują. Sri Lanka jest bardzo bezpieczna, nie ma też większych problemów z zatruciami, komary dokuczają tylko wieczorami. Trzeba wziąć kremy z filtrem z Polski, na miejscu często można kupić z efektem wybielonej skóry ;)

Bardzo dobrze zorganizowana wycieczka . Duża zasługa uznanie dla pilotki Asi - kompetentnej , sympatycznyej posiadajacej ogromna wiedzę . Pilotka z prawdziwego zdarzenia . Wszystko przebiegło punktualnie i sprawnie. Zmniejszyłabym ilość odwiedzanych swiatyń na rzecz np. zwiedzania Colombo - nie tylko przez okno autokaru.

Wycieczka obejmuje prawie wszystkie miejsca wpisane na listę UNESCO. Dobrze zorganizowane są etapy przejazdu, nie są męczące. Wszystkie zwiedzane miejsca są bardzo ciekawe a tradycyjne środki transportu pozostawiają miłe wspomnienia. Zawsze pozostawiony jest czas na lunch i lokalne zakupy. Kierowcy i lokalny przewodnik bardzo mili i uczynni. Hotele o niezłym standardzie, czyste i z miłą obsługą. Jedzenie bez fajerwerków ale i bez zastrzeżeń. Dużym plusem wycieczki jest to że nie trzeba codziennie zmieniać hotelu. Ciekawe dodatkowe atrakcje, podróż przez plantacje herbaty, rafting. Jedyny minus to podróż pociągiem z Kandy, który jest duszny, zatłoczony, brudny a trasa wiedzie przez okolice miejskie i tym samym nieciekawe.

Poznaliśmy historię i kulturę mieszkańców Sri Lanki , jej kuchnię i wspaniałą przyrodę .Pewnym zaskoczeniem dla nas była życzliwość i ogromna pogoda ducha Lankijczyków odczuwana na każdym kroku wobec turystów i wobec siebie samych .Ten wyjazd był dla nas lekcją tego , jak różne nacje i narodowości a co za ty idzie wyznawcy różnych religii są tolerancyjni wobec siebie i stanowią jedność . Tego powinniśmy się od Nich uczyć . Kraj należy do biednych ale jego mieszkańcy to dumni ludzie i bardzo rzadko można spotkać proszących o wsparcie .

Cudowna wycieczka. Wspaniała przewodniczka Asia z ogromną wiedzą. Zawsze uśmiechnięta, zawsze znajdująca czas dla każdego. Wycieczka bardzo intensywna, dużo zobaczyliśmy. Miła atmosfera, pogoda piękna. Jednym słowem było cudownie.

Tendencyjnie wybrałam tę wycieczkę, ze względu na program, który porównywałam z innymi propozycjami wycieczek na Sri Lankę. Program fajnie ułożony, urozmaicony i mimo sporej ilości codziennych aktywności, nie demolujący uczestników. Ja byłam pierwszy raz na zorganizowanym objeździe i mimo wstępnych obaw, byłam zadowolona. Hotele fajne, w pięknych okolicznościach przyrody, dające możliwość relaksu po aktywnym dniu (baseny w 6 noclegach)). Fajnie, że program zaczynał się 3-dniowym pobytem w jednym hotelu, później 2- dniowym, a na koń 2 x po 1. Dla mnie to była sytuacja komfortowa, bo dawała możliwość "rozkręcenia" się i zgrania z resztą grupy. Nie bez znaczenia była opieka przewodniczki p. Agnieszki i wsparcie reszty załogi. Bardzo polecam, chociaż oczywiście dopełnieniem był kolejny tydzień -pobytowy, który wzmógł jeszcze emocje i dał możliwość dłuższego przetrawienia tego pięknego miejsca. Na dokładkę dodam, że jedzenie było bardzo dobre- nowe i różnorodne smaki.

Wycieczka bardzo ciekawa pod każdym względem. Prezentuje bardzo bogatą historię kraju, wspaniałe zabytki, niesamowite krajobrazy i bogactwo kultury. Wycieczka poprowadzona w rewelacyjny sposób przez p. ASIĘ - pilotkę z powołania - wielki skarb ITAKI. W stosunkowo krótkim czasie, dzięki talentowi organizacyjnemu, olbrzymiej wiedzy i umiejętności jej przekazania, p.ASIA pokazała nam zachwycający kawałek mało znanego świata. ITAKO dbaj o takich pilotów !
