Największym plusem hotelu jest przepiękna plaża, nieduże odpływy więc można było cały czas korzystać z kąpieli w oceanie. Jedzenie bardzo dobre, mnóstwo owoców morza i ryb. Świeże owoce i soki. Każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Jedynym minusem to podróż samolotem, kiepski samolot do długości lotu.

Hotel oceniam na 3 gwiazdki. Część pokoi odnowiona, ja osobiście byłam zakwaterowana w starszej części, która wymaga renowacji. Pokoje bardzo skromne, ale czyste. Jeśli ktoś ma obawy przed spaniem w towarzystwie gekonów, to również może to być problematyczne, bo wchodzą i wychodzą do pokoju zgodnie z własnym życzeniem przez znajdujące się w drzwiach szpary. Można zgłaszać do recepcji, by je usunęła. Wyżywienie zróżnicowane, ale mocno nastawione na Włochów, którzy stanowią dużą część gości hotelowych. Hotel ładnie położony, zadbany ogród, przyjemna plaża, odpływy nie są uciążliwe. Leżaki hotelowe odseparowane od plaży, więc można spokojnie odpoczywać, bez nagabywania lokalnych mieszkańców. Personel uprzejmy i uczynny, choć trzeba się przyzwyczaić do lokalnego tempa pracy i poziomu serwisu, który odbiega od europejskiego. Tipy na pewno są mile widziane przez pracowników. Jedyny aspekt, który zawodzi to osoba managera restauracji hotelowej. Pan jest gburowaty i wyznaje zasadę segregacji gości. Personalnie dba właściwie tylko o Włochów (gdyż sam jest Włochem), a reszta gości właściwie dla niego nie istnieje. Jest nieuprzejmy i nie ma elementarnej wiedzy o dbaniu o gości. Hotelowa stołówka jest w bardzo lokalnym klimacie. Na pewno na plus również czystość w łazienkach i toaletach przy recepcji, barach itp.

Hotel bardzo ładnie położony przy samej plaży, obsługa sympatyczna, komunikatywna po angielsku i włosku oraz pomocna, ogólnie czysto, jedzenie dobre (a sama restauracje również przy plaży z widokiem i kotami). Zasadniczo zgodny z opisem, a standard to "pozaeuropejskie 4*", lub polski ośrodek wypoczynkowy z 2000' . Z istotnych wad na działce położonej od północnej strony trwa budowa kolejnego hotelu, prace zaczynają wcześnie rano i potrafią prowadzić je do późnej nocy, zmiana pokoju była trudna, ale nie niemożliwa.

Hotel całkowicie spełnił nasze oczekiwania. Obsługa hotelu przemiła i zawsze gotowa, żeby pomóc. Jedzenie było bardzo smaczne i różnorodne. Dużo ryb, owoców morza, różne mięsa i sporo dań lokalnych. Pokoje były sprzątane codziennie. Piekny teren hotelu - ogród bardzo zadbany, piękna roślinność. Basen czyściutki, tak samo jak plaża przy hotelu - czysta i bezpieczna, ponieważ cały czas ochraniana przez ochronę hotelową. Jedyne, co mogę ocenić niżej to animacje hotelowe. Hotel jest nastawiony na Włochów, więc część animacji jest organizowana tylko po włosku, więc inne nacje nie mogą w nich wziąć udziału.

Pomimo kilku negatywnych opinii polecamy ten hotel. Na wstępie warto zaznaczyć, aby dopłacić do lepszego standardu pokoi i wykupić typu "garden". Te sprzedawane przez Itakę jako najtańsze są faktycznie bardzo słabe. Wyżywienie jest bardzo dobre. Można spróbować miejscowej kuchni. Uważając na to się pije i biorąc probiotyk nie mieliśmy większych problemów żołądkowych. Restauracja położna jest bajkowo- każde śniadanie i lunch w przepięknym widokiem. Pokoje OK, czyste, a spacerujące jaszczurki są sympatyczne i niegroźne. Animacji może nie ma zbyt wielu, ale codziennie można zagrać w siatkówkę oraz poćwiczyć w basenie podczas aerobiku wodnego. Obsługa jest przesympatyczna, a kolejki do baru nie stanowią żadnego problemu i wcale nie są duże. Plusem tego miejsca są na pewno małe odpływy i przypływy. Plaża jest bajeczna. Hotelowe leżaki niestety w tych lepszych miejscach trzeba rezerwować bardzo wcześnie rano. Udając się na Zanzibar uważajcie na ukryte koszty, o których my nie zostaliśmy poinformowani w biurze, a przy naszej 4 była to niezła suma: obowiązkowe zanzibarskie ubezpieczenie, wiza i klimatyczne w hotelu. No i przelot- nie potrafię zrozumieć jak można podczas 10 godzinnego lotu nie otrzymać ani jednego posiłku czy też butelki wody- za wszystko trzeba zapłacić.

Tereń hotelu zadbany- jest zielony, a jego nazwa baobab sprawdza się, bo na terenie trudno go nie znaleźdź- jest taki welki, wow!Pokój wyposażony, lazenka nowoczesna i czysta. Plaża najlepsza- czysta, biały piasek, niebeska woda. Są fali. Animacja w miare- najbardziej to artysci z tańcem, atlici. Jestem tolerancyjnym turystą. Drobne niedomagania to nie problem. Jednak tym razem doświadczyłem łomotu młota hydraulicznego do kruszenia skał, że aż podłoga w pokoju 117 drżała. Ten pokój i inne którymi dysponuje Itaka to porażka. Odradzam pobyt do czasu zakończenia budowy za płotem. Pozostałe aspekty pobytu ok.

Wycieczki dostępne na miejscu
Stone Town and Spice Tour — city of stone is a presentation of the rich culture and history of Zanzibar, where little has changed in the past 200 years. Here, every building, every window and door tells its own story. The city is a symbol of the fight against slavery, as it was one of the main centres of slave trade in East Africa. A stroll through the narrow streets of Stone Town, a visit to the urban market, visiting the Museum in one of Sultan's Palaces, free time for shopping. Then, the programme includes visiting one of the largest plantations in Zanzibar, where cloves, vanilla, coconut nuts, cardamom, ginger, turmeric, nutmeg, herbs, ornamental plants and tropical fruits are cultivated. Day trip. Price - approx. 75 USD.
Josani Forest and Prison Island — a trip to Josani National Park. A walk along the natural trail through the forest, full of rare species of exotic birds, butterflies and endangered western red colobus (Colobus badius) with characteristic long hair on their head. This is one of the few places where you can encounter them. The forest is tropical in nature due to the persisting high humidity from the sea and a lot of rainfall during the rainy season, which diversifies vegetation. There are palm trees, fig trees, mahogany, ferns and mangrove trees. A visit to Prison Island, where tortoises live. There is a small beach and a reef here, excellent for snorkelling. In the local restaurant you can try i.a. seafood (for an extra charge). Day trip. Price - approx. 85 USD.
Safari Blue — an expedition on a traditional dhow boat. Sail out from the small fishing village of Fumba, which is the perfect place to start your adventure. Exploring part of the beautiful Menai Bay. While sailing on the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, you can admire the wonderful sandy shores of the islands and lagoons, as well as encounter bottlenose dolphins. Stopover on one of the heavenly beaches, time for snorkelling in the transparent waters of the ocean and admiring the rich coral reef. Then a real treat with seafood, fish, lobsters. A walk to the tropical forest, where you can see a 500-year-old boabab. Short boat cruises, swimming in a lagoon and relaxation. Day trip. Price - approx. 100 USD (includes lunch and drinks).
Sunset Cruise - Setting Sun — a wonderful, romantic adventure. A cruise by local dhov boats from the village of Nungwi with one of the most beautiful beaches in Zanzibar. Safari in Tanzania - Selous (2 days) — great landscapes and nature at your fingertips. Airplane safari to Selous Park - the largest African reserve, which accounts for 5% of Tanzania's area. The main attraction of Selous park is the elephants. Here you can also meet hippos, crocodiles, lions, antelopes, and some of the last surviving black rhinos. Overnight stay in lodges on the banks of the river Rufiji, which is home to hippos and crocodiles. Mkokotoni Village — an expedition to a local village to learn about the real life of the Zanzibar people and the methods of making traditional dhow boats.
