Arrival in DELHI, the capital of India and the political center of the country. Impressive monuments and imposing government buildings testify to the city's splendor. Delhi is the quintessence of modern India, a city full of contrasts, where unimaginable wealth and extreme poverty as well as history and modernity exist side by side. Visiting Old Delhi: Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India, Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Passageway to the buildings of the Red Fort - a huge citadel made of red sandstone, entered on the UNESCO list. A walk through Chandni Chowk - the main artery of the Old Town, which is also a bustling bazaar. Rickshaw ride. Sightseeing in New Delhi: the Qutb Minar complex, which shows the influence of Hindu architecture and Islam, and the Humayun's mausoleum - the tomb of a Mongolian ruler from the 16th century, which were entered on the UNESCO list. Passage to the Gate of India - 42-meter triumphal arch. Panoramic ride past the parliament building and the Presidential Palace. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation, dinner and overnight.
3. DAY. DELHI - THIMPHU
Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Bhutan (Paro). During the flight, breathtaking views of the main peaks of the Himalayas. After completing the visa formalities, transfer to THIMPHU. Once a rustic village nestled in a fertile valley, it is today the bustling capital of the country. It is a center of government, religion and trade with an interesting combination of tradition and modernity. Lunch. Visiting the imposing monastery - the Tashichho Dzong fortress. In addition to the Buddhist monastery, it was the seat of the main administrative authorities of Bhutan. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation, dinner and overnight.
4. DAY. THIMPHU
Breakfast. Tour of THIMPHU: National Library with a valuable collection of Tibetan manuscripts; the Zorig Chusum Institute, known as the "School of Painting", which provides education in 13 traditional Bhutanese arts such as painting, wood carving and embroidery; the statue of the Dordenma Buddha, which is one of the tallest in Asia (51.5 m). Lunch. A visit to the weaving center that has a long tradition in Bhutan. It is definitely worth seeing and learning more about the production of the most popular local handicrafts, the National Monument - Chorten, a building that is the Tibetan equivalent of a stupa, dedicated to the third king of Bhutan. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
5. DAY. PUNAKHA
Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Drive towards PUNAKHA through the Dochula Pass, located at an altitude of over 3,000 m above sea level, from which there is a wonderful view of 108 chorten, waving prayer flags and mountain ranges. On the way, visit the Chimi Lhakhang Temple, dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kunley. Lunch. Upon arrival in PUNAKHA, a city tour: the Punakha Jong Monastery, known as the "Palace of Great Bliss", is considered to be one of the most impressive buildings in the country. Check-in at the hotel, dinner, overnight.
6. DAY. PUNAKHA
Breakfast. Continuation of exploring the area of PUNAKHA: hike (approx. 1 hour) through the phenomenal terraces of the rice field to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten - a three-story chorten was built by Queen Ashi Tsering Yangdon to protect the country. Lunch. A visit to the female monastery of Sangchen Dorji Lhundrup, perched on the crest of a hill with spectacular views of the Punakha and Wangdue valleys. The temple houses a 14-meter bronze statue of Avalokiteshvara, one of the largest in the country, a university complex, and a meditation center. A visit to the Nalanda Monastery where the monks learn. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
7. DAY. HAA
Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the town of HAA, located in the green valley of the same name. On the way, a visit to the Semtokha Dzong Monastery, built in 1627 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Currently, it houses the Institute of Language and Cultural Studies. The most notable artistic feature of the Dzong is a series of over 300 finely crafted slate carvings. Lunch. Hotel accommodation. Free time for individual Haa sightseeing. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
8. DAY. HAA - PARO
Breakfast. Check out from the hotel. Visiting the famous monasteries: Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple). Lunch. Drive towards PARO through the Chele La Pass (3810 m above sea level) covered by a forest of blue pine and rhododendrons with excellent views of the Chomolhari and Jichu Drake mountains. A visit to a typical Bhutanese farm, the opportunity to take a close look at the daily life of the inhabitants, learn about the traditions and customs of the local population. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation, dinner and overnight.
9. DAY. TAKTSANG MONASTERY
Breakfast. Trek to the TAKTSHANG Monastery (3120 m above sea level), known as the tiger's nest. The most famous monastery in the country, considered a symbol of Bhutan, is almost suspended on a rocky slope. It was built on the site where Guru Rinpoche, considered the father of Buddhism in Bhutan, was to meditate. Free time, lunch. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight. Trekking time: approx. 4-5 hours (approx. 13 km).
10. Day. PARO - DELHI
