Breakfast. Check out. Transfer and sightseeing of SANTILLANA DEL MAR, a medieval town which is one of the most important monuments in the Cantabria region. Located on the northern Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, the city has been declared a national monument. A walk through the extremely picturesque cobbled Calle Santo Domingo, the main street of the city, on which there are magnificent buildings, mostly from the 14th century. Passage to the triangular Plaza de Ramón Pelayo, where you can admire the exceptionally representative Barreda-Bracho Palace, Del Águila mansions and La Parra, the town hall and the Don Borja tower. Walk down Calle del Cantón with its magnificent mansions, among which Casa del Marqués stands out - the home of Leonor de la Vega, Santillana's first Marquis, and Casa de los Villa, also known as "Casa de los Hombrones". Passageway to the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana - one of the best examples of Romanesque architecture in Cantabria. Built on the site of a former hermitage, it attracts attention with a cloister with originally decorated capitals and an interesting facade. Drive towards the ALTAMIRA CAVE, considered to be the "Paleolithic Sistine Chapel", inscribed on the UNESCO list. Visiting the Altamira Museum, a modern complex where you can admire a neo-cave with a faithful copy of the painting motifs depicted in the original cave. To protect the unique paintings, visitors can admire its reconstruction. This first national park in Spain is located in the territory of three Autonomous Communities: Asturias, Cantabria and León, in the north of Spain. An opportunity to admire the spectacular views of the glacial lakes of Covadonga, located at an altitude of over 1000 m above sea level. surrounded by high peaks and green meadows. Visiting an important place of worship and pilgrimage destination for the inhabitants of Asturias - the COVADONGA SANCTUARY, phenomenally located, embedded in the high mountain landscape, and the nearby Santa Cueva (Holy Cave). 4. DAY. PLAYA DE LAS CATEDRALES - A CORUÑA (route: approx. 370 km)

Due to its uniqueness, the beach has been declared a natural monument. Transfer to A CORUÑA, a town whose history is linked to an old fishing and trading port. A walk around the Old Town, among the atmospheric squares and Romanesque churches, where you can admire, among others: the Collegiate Church of Santa María del Campo, the oldest in the city - the Church of St. Jacob, the San Carlos Garden, recognized as a historical and artistic complex, San Antón Castle, the Emilia Pardo Bazán House-Museum, María Pita Square with the town hall. Passage to the Tower of Hercules - the symbol of the city, one of the oldest and only working Roman sea flying in the world. The lighthouse was entered on the UNESCO list. Continuation of the walk: Acuarium Finisterrae. Panoramic drive next to the House of Man located in a futuristic building. Free time near the boardwalk and the famous Riazor beach. 5. DAY. SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast. Visiting SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA - the destination of pilgrims visiting the tomb of St. James - the patron saint of Spain. The Old Town has been recognized as one of the most beautiful urban complexes in the world and entered on the UNESCO list. Visiting the cathedral - one of the most magnificent monuments of Romanesque architecture, with a huge censer and a baroque altar, the Goldsmiths' Gate, the crypt with the saint's remains, Obradoiro Square - a meeting place for pilgrimage groups, the Monastery of San Martín Pinario with a beautiful plateresco facade, Hostal de los Reyes Catolicos , which is said to be the oldest hotel in the world, and Praterías Square. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
DAY 6. PONTE MACEIRA - MUXÍA - CASTLE FINISTERRE - WATERFALL OF ÉZARO - CARNOTA - MUROS (route: approx. 360 km)

Passageway to Plaza de la Virgen Blanca - the focal point of the city with the monument. Walk: the Church of San Miguel, the entrance to which is through the Gothic portico of the Los Arquillos arcade gallery, connecting the old part of the city with the new districts, the Church of St. Vincent, Villa Suso Palace in the Place del Machete. Visiting the cathedral of Santa María towering over the city. This magnificent gothic temple is distinguished by an interesting portico, around it are the oldest streets of the city, hiding numerous palaces, incl. Escoriaza-Esquibel with a beautiful plateresco-style courtyard and the Urbina Zárate palace. The walk continues: The Palace of the Álava Provincial Council from the 19th century: Doña Otxanda, the current seat of the Natural History Museum. It is a defensive structure built in the 15th century on the site of an earlier fortification. An amazing trip through the north coast of Spain. We invite you on a journey through four regions of the so-called Green Spain: Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias and Galicia. The route through the land shrouded in legends is extremely spectacular. There are non-obvious places, magnificent monuments, endless beaches, high cliffs. It is an opportunity to reach the end of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route and to set foot on Cape Finisterre, which was considered the end of the world during the Roman Empire. At the latter point, on the route of many pilgrims, there is the westernmost lighthouse in Europe, and most importantly, there is a spectacular view of the Death Coast - Costa da Morte. The local waters hide numerous shipwrecks, it is because of the numerous sinkings in the past that the coast got its name. The program includes the legendary lighthouse in A Coruña, a city that witnessed the defeat of the English corsair Francis Drake and which "awakened the senses" of Pisass. The highlights of the program also include: the famous Covadonga Sanctuary, hidden among mountain peaks, a unique spectacle of nature at Ézaro waterfall, Palaeolithic cave art in Altamira, the unique Las Catedrales Beach and Gaudí's architectural whim, "El Capricho", one of the few buildings this architect located outside Catalonia. "Podróż w zielone" to moja druga podróż z Itaką na północ Hiszpanii. Po pierwszej wyprawie "Widoki na smoki" apetyt na poznanie tej części kraju jest bardzo duży. Cała wycieczka jest bardzo udana. Organizacja i standard podróży są zadowalające. Jednak uważam, że ta wycieczka pozostawia pewien niedosyt dla osób, które mają porównanie do drugiego z wyjazdów w ofercie Itaka. Program wycieczki jest odrobinę nierówny. Pierwsze dwa dni to solidna dawka urokliwej północnej Hiszpanii z wizytą w Santillana del Mar czy Comillas, a także Picos de Europa. Pewien niedosyt pozostawia zwiedzanie sanktuarium w Covadonga - wg mnie bardziej wartościowe było pozostawienie eksploatacji świątyni i jaskini w sposób indywidualny, zgodny z własnymi preferencjami, ponieważ było to szybkie przejście przez oba miejsca i zapakowanie grupy w busy do parku narodowego. W dni trzecim poprawy wymaga zwiedzanie A Coruna (zwłaszcza zasadność trasy spaceru po mieście). Czas spędzony na Playa de las Catedrales był zadowalający, a sama plaża jest przepięknym miejscem. Dni czwarty i piąty super zaplanowane, jednak wizyta w Muros była zupełnie niepotrzebna. Ogólnie wycieczka godna polecenia, ponieważ to możliwość poznania zupełnie innego oblicza Hiszpanii - zielonej, nieprzewidywalnej pogodowo i odmiennej kulinarnie od popularnego południa.

Wycieczka ciekawa, podróżując po zielonej Hiszpanii miałam wrażenie żę jestem w którymś z krajów skandynawskich a nie w słonecznej Hiszpanii jaką wcześniej zwiedzałam. W programie piękne i niezwykłe krajobrazy oraz obiekty sakralne . Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje Playa de las Catedrales oraz wielki Park Narodowy Picos de Europa . Obiekty sakralne Sanktuarium Covadonga, Katedra św. Jakuba w Santiago de Compostela to perełki architektury. W Santiago de Compostela mieliśmy możliwość obejrzenia kolorowej parady zespołów lokalnych prezentujących stroje; muzykę tańce mające korzenie w kulturze celtyckiej. Był to pokaz muzyczno -taneczego korowodu który ludość lokalna przygotowała na występy podczas przyszłego karnawału. Pogoda deszczowa , chłodna w żaden sposób nie przeszkodziła w podziwianiu wysokich gór pokrytych w pełni zieloną różnorodną roślinnością na których wypasały się nie tylko owce, kozy ale i krowy swobodnie po wierzchołkach gór się poruszały. Wycieczkę polecam ze względu na bogactwo i różnorodność krajobrazu oraz możliwość poznania Europejskiego szlaku kulturowego.

Najwieksze wrażenie zrobiła na mnie Playa de Catedrales w hiszpańskiej Galicji - zjawisko niesamowite, trafiliśmy na odpływ więc wszystkie cuda natury ukazały się w pełnej krasie. W Santiago trafiliśmy na mszę świętą z kadzielnicą-to podobn o nie zdarza się często. Jeszcze raz bardzo polecam ta trasę. Małgorzata

Cena do jakości - akceptowalna. Wycieczkę wybrałem ze względu na plażę Playa de las Catedrales i Park Narodowy Picos de Europa, czyli dwie atrakcje krajobrazowe. W dniu odwiedzin parku pogoda trafiła nam się dość nieprzychylna. Natomiast rozczarowaniem jest godzina przyjazdu na plażę katedr - akurat podczas przypływu - ratownicy kierowali już plażowiczów do centrum z plaży.

Wycieczka zgodnie z nazwą była podrożą w zielone! Duża część trasy przebiegała w otoczeniu pięknej zieleni, morza/oceanu i gór. Trafiliśmy na pogodę idealną do zwiedzania, bez znanych z południa (...)
Wycieczka zgodnie z nazwą była podrożą w zielone! Duża część trasy przebiegała w otoczeniu pięknej zieleni, morza/oceanu i gór. Trafiliśmy na pogodę idealną do zwiedzania, bez znanych z południa Hiszpanii upałów - ciepło (jednak poranki lipcowe potrafiły być rześkie i wietrzne – bluza czy kurtka konieczna) i bez deszczu. Spokojne tempo zwiedzania, dużo czasu wolnego do samodzielnej organizacji, również po przyjeździe do hotelu. Generalnie zwiedzane miejsca były interesujące, choć trafiły się również takie, które były mało atrakcyjne, żeby nie powiedzieć przypadkowe i zbędne. Dotyczy to szczególnie dnia 6 . Półgodzinny przystanek przy wodospadzie Ezaro, który najlepsze wrażenie robi z daleka, a pod sam wodospad nie da się dość, bo przejście jest zamknięte…. Czy wioska Muros, którą przeszliśmy bez przewodnika. Przyjechaliśmy, dostaliśmy czas wolny i tyle. Nie pokazano nam ani opisywanego w programie dziedzictwa historycznego ani kulturowego, podcienia też sami sobie znaleźliśmy. A do kościoła (zapewne zamkniętego) przewodniczka nas nie zaprowadzała, bo jak tłumaczyła Pilotka jest wysoko i nie wszyscy dają radę….. W naszej ocenie większość grupy spokojnie dałaby radę, gdyby spacer odbył się z przewodnikiem. Chyba rzeczywiście nie było tam nic ciekawego…. Zastanawiające jest również umieszczenie w programie miejscowości Cangas de Onis, w której poza czasem wolnym na lunch, brak jest zwiedzania z przewodnikiem, gdyż jedyną „atrakcją” jest most rzymski. Ciężko się odnieść do atrakcyjności tego mostu… Nas nie powalił na kolana. Największym rozczarowaniem był brak możliwości zobaczenia plaży katedr w pełnej krasie. Odpływ pozwalający na zobaczenie pięknych widoków rozpoczął się zaraz po naszej zbiórce, czyli po godzinie 12. A to niestety wina złej organizacji czasu przez Pilotkę, bo godziny odpływów są znane… Szczególnie, że po przyjeździe do A Coruna dostajemy czas wolny na lunch, a zwiedzanie z lokalną przewodniczką rozpoczyna się dużo później. Skoro plaża katedr jest to atrakcja, do zobaczenia której konieczne było nawet podanie danych paszportowych/dowodowych, łącznie z miejscem urodzenia (w godzinie naszego przybycia nie było żadnej kontroli biletów wstępu), to czujemy pełen niedosyt i rozczarowanie. Dzień w Santiago de Compostela – zwiedzanie, rozpoczyna się wcześnie rano i kończy się po 12 późnej czas wolny … Pilotka zaproponowała atrakcję fakultatywną – rejs statkiem z połowem i degustacją małży. Cóż, propozycja raczej tylko dla miłośników owoców morza! Poza tym, w programie nie ma o tej fakultatywnej wycieczce mowy. Ponieważ większość uczestników nie zdecydowała na udział, nie doszła ona do skutku i trzeba było sobie zorganizować popołudnie we własnym zakresie. Na szczęście, dzięki lokalnej przewodnicze, dowiedzieliśmy się, że po mszy o 19.30 będzie pokaz słynnego- największego na świecie trybularza- Butafumerio, na który się zdecydowaliśmy (trzeba uczestniczyć we mszy, bo drzwi katedry są zamykane i na sam pokaz nie można wejść). Polecamy, jeśli ktoś będzie miał okazję zobaczyć. Zwiedzanie Victoria Gasteiz było utrudnione z uwagi na trwające w tym dniu zawody Ironman. Ale za to - oczekując na możliwość przejścia - mogliśmy pokibicować. Dobrze, że ze względu na wczesny przylot, mogliśmy skorzystać z fakultatywnej i bardzo ciekawej wycieczki do miasta Santander, bo inaczej czekał nas dzień spędzony w hotelu oddalonym od jakichkolwiek atrakcji. Podróżowaliśmy w sympatycznej i zdyscyplinowanej 30-osobowej grupie. Autokar był, dostosowany do wielkości grupy. Natomiast styl powadzenia autokaru przez kierowcę niestety był tragiczny. Cały czas przyspieszanie i hamowanie, często dość ostre. Brak płynności jazdy, które rzadko się zdarza u zawodowych kierowców. Mieliśmy również wrażenie, że pakowanie i rozpakowanie bagaży były dla niego udręką. Uczestnicy często sami pakowali swoje bagaże do luku. Noclegi w hotelach 3 i 2 gwiazdkowych o różnym standardzie. Pokoje, pościel i łazienki czyste (choć zdarzały się drobne usterki). Jedzenie: Kolacje smaczne - najsłabsze w barze fast foodowym, gdy nocowaliśmy w hotelu zlokalizowanym centrum handlowym w Santiago de Compostela, najlepsze w 2 gwiazdkowym hotelu w Lugo - pyszna i do tego z przemiłą obsługą i w hotelu w Gijon – szczególnie pierwszego dnia. Zawsze do kolacji darmowa woda i wino. Śniadania raczej podstawowe - bez warzyw (ale to standard w tym rejonie), ale ze słodyczami. Najlepsze w Santiago de Compostela były owoce, jogurty i płatki śniadaniowe. Prawdziwej regionalnej kuchni należy próbować w czasie wolnym, którego jest pod dostatkiem. W wielu miejscach można skorzystać też z oferty lunchowej „Menu del dia”, gdzie za cenę około 20 euro, dostaniemy dwa dania do wyboru - z kilku pozycji, deser, wino lub wodę, czasem kawę. Wtedy w pełni czuć smak kuchni galicyjskiej, asturyjskiej (z przepyszną fabadą asturianą na czele), czy tej z regionu Kantabrii. Generalnie te rejony to raj dla miłośników owoców morza - z ośmiornicą – pulpo a la gallega - na pierwszym miejscu i ryb, ale każdy znajdzie coś dobrego dla siebie. Koniecznie trzeba spróbować słynnych Pintxos, wina Tinto de verano i cydru. Wycieczkę pilotowała miła i sympatyczna Pani Zuzanna. Pasjonatka Hiszpanii - jej kultury, literatury, filmu i kuchni oczywiście. Świetnie się spisała tłumacząc lokalne hiszpańskie przewodniczki, bo nie wszędzie na północy są polskojęzyczni przewodnicy.

Wycieczka bardzo interesująca, obfitująca w atrakcyjne przyrodniczo i historycznie tereny. Bardzo kompetentna pilotka Pani Zuzanna potrafiła zaciekawić historią i atrakcjami kuchni północnej Hiszpanii, wskazując na jej różnorodność. Lokalni przewodnicy wzbogacali naszą wiedzę, wyjątkiem była Pani przewodnik z Muros, która opowiedziała o atrakcjach miasta, ale nie oprowadziła po nich.

Godna polecenia, nietuzinkowa wyprawa do mało jeszcze znanej części Hiszpanii , tj północnych jej krańców: Galicji, Asturii, Kantabrii i Kraju Basków. Zamiast piekącego hiszpańskiego słońca i potwornych upałów czekała na nas soczysta zieleń przyrody, góry i przepiękne wybrzeże. Poznaliśmy kilka mieszkających tam od wieków narodów wraz z ich odmiennymi zwyczajami, językiem czy też przysmakami, których mogliśmy zasmakować z ośmiornicą po galicyjsku (pulpo a la gallega) na czele! Kto nie gustuje w owocach morza (Galicja to światowa potęga w tej dziedzinie), znajdzie inne kulinarne ciekawostki godne polecenia np. asturiański cydr, lokalne sery czy migdałową tartę (Torta de Santiago). Wszystkie te tajemnice pomogła nam zgłębić Pani Zuzanna, która znakomicie wywiązała się z roli pilota. Pomogła nam odkryć niesamowite miejsca takie jak jaskinia Altamira, czy też historyczne budowle, których na trasie było sporo. Trasa naszej wycieczki przeplatała się z wielowiekowym szlakiem pielgrzymów zmierzających do Santiago de Compostela (do grobu św. Jakuba), a następnie na koniec świata (czyli przylądek Finisterre) aby zdobyć symboliczną muszlę... Gorąco polecamy!

Północna Hiszpania jest piękna, magiczna i obfituje w cudowne zakątki. Nie ma tam dużo turystów, tak jak w Hiszpanii Południowej.. Można jednak spotkać pielgrzymów idących do Santiago de Compostella do grobu Św. Jakuba. Dlatego też należy zobaczyć te piękne, zielone tereny dopóki nie są skalane masową turystyką. Polecam wycieczkę "Podróż w Zielone" szczególnie ze wspaniałą pilotką Panią Eweliną . Moja ocena jest na 6.

Podróż w zielone? 6 razy TAK!!! Przede wszystkim doskonały wybór trasy pozwalający zachować idealną równowagę pomiędzy pomnikami historii i architektury w jakie obfituje droga św. Jakuba a wspaniałościami przyrody gór Kantabryjskich, wybrzeża zatoki Biskajskiej i Atlantyku. Po drugie doskonała pilotka – pani Ewelina. Jej kultura osobista, życzliwość, perfekcyjne planowanie dnia oraz ogromny zasób wiadomości o kraju, jego historii i współczesności pozwoliły na uatrakcyjnienie nawet najdłuższych przejazdów. A propos przejazdów. Bardzo dobry autokar i jeszcze lepszy kierowca – to po trzecie. Po czwarte. Lokalni przewodnicy dorównujący klasa pilotce. Wiedza, kompetencja i gotowość do wyjścia naprzeciw naszym oczekiwaniom. Piąty plus za jakość zakwaterowania. Dobrze wyposażone i czyste pokoje hotelowe i bardzo dobre wyżywienie. I na kopiec szósty plus za klimat - ciepło ale bez przytłaczających upałów południa i zachwycające bogactwo soczystej zieloności roślin. Pewien niedosyt jaki odczuwamy wynika z tego że trochę zbyt późno dotarliśmy do Playa de las Catedrales oraz że przejeżdżając niecałe 20 km od Leon nie było czasu aby zobaczyć katedrę. Choć z drugiej strony to powód aby jeszcze raz wrócić do Hiszpanii Ewa i Mietek z Przemyśla
