Beautiful beaches, crystal clear water, traditional white houses known from postcards and picturesque landscapes make Paros one of the most gladly visited Cycladic islands.

Paros is the third largest island of the Cyclades situated halfway between Athens and Santorini. Its coastline is 120 km long and offers many attractive places for summer holidays. Once the island was known mainly for the extraction of translucent marble, today it is a popular holiday destination, which offers tourists beautiful nature, traditional Greek architecture, great food and fantastic beaches. The most famous of them are Chrysi Akti (Golden Beach), Santa Maria and Pounda, which is ideal for all who love the sun. Favourable winds and kite- and windsurfing infrastructure also attract enthusiasts of watersports. The small beaches in coves surrounded by beautifully sculpted rocks will appeal to those who prefer a more intimate holiday. Paros is also an ideal place for connoisseurs of wine - numerous vineyards, beautifully blended into the landscape delight the eye and provide the opportunity to taste local wines with a fresh fruity and floral aroma. The capital of the island is Parikia. Here the main port and some attractive historical monuments are located. It is worth seeing the mosque Ekatontapyliani from the 6th century, which has retained its typically Byzantine character, the ruins of a Venetian castle, tunnels of ancient quarries in Marathi, and also visit the Byzantine and archaeological museum. The best way to spend the evening is to give way to the holiday atmosphere of the bustling town. The small villages with traditional Cycladic architecture are also undoubtedly charming, lush with flowers and aromatic herbs filling the air with their scent. One of these places is Aliki - a quiet small village situated in the south of the island, where there are three lovely beaches - the dream place for intimate family holidays.
