Hotel idealny dla osób bez dzieci, które szukają ciszy i spokoju, które chcą poleżeć na plaży. Pokoje z widokiem na ogród są średnie - dopłaciliśmy 100 EUR do pokoju z widokiem na morze. Mało miejsc do leżakowania przy basenie - basen niewielki (wbrew pozorom). Jedzenie takie sobie, szczególnie śniadania. Bardzo uprzejma obsługa. Miasteczko niewielkie - raptem kilka tawern i sklepów, ale wszystko co potrzebne można kupić, a nie ma hałasu i naganiactwa jak w festyniarskiej Chanii. A w razie tęsknoty za zgiełkiem można do Chanii podjechać loklanym autobusem za 3,30 EUR. Byliśmy zadowoleni i odpoczęliśmy.

Dwie pozytywne strony hotelu to jego położenie w małym sympatycznym miasteczku, w bliskości przystanków autobusowych, z których można dotrzeć do najciekawszych miejsc w zachodniej (...)
Dwie pozytywne strony hotelu to jego położenie w małym sympatycznym miasteczku, w bliskości przystanków autobusowych, z których można dotrzeć do najciekawszych miejsc w zachodniej części Krety. Druga zaleta hotelu to położenie restauracji - w formie tawerny położonej w odległości 10 metrów od morza. Taka atrakcja nie zdarza się często. Samo jedzenie było smaczne, przygotowane ze świeżych produktów, choć mało urozmaicone. W ofercie hotely Grand Bay przeważają jednak minusy. Cena zdecydowanie nie odpowiada standardowi oferowanych usług, kategoria hotelu wg Itaki 4,5 gwiazdki dziwi - standad hotelu to najwyżej 3,5 gwiazdki. W żaden sposób nie można usprawiedliwić takiej oceny w porównaniu do 5 gwiazdek hotelu Cavo Spada tej samej sieci hotelowej i oferowanych w nim usług. Różnica w cenie pobytu w tych dwóch hotelach nie jest duża, z kolei różnice w standardzie są dostrzegalne na każdym kroku. Pokoje były dosyć małe, ale dla dwóch osób było wystarczająco dużo miejsca do poruszania się. Dużym minusem z kolei był brud w pokojach, czym obsługa hotelu niespecjalnie się przejmowała. W trakcie pobytu ręczniki były zmieniane bardzo nieregularnie, wg uznania sprzątaczki, natomaist pościel wymieniono jeden raz. Na stronie interentowej hotelu z kolei umieszczono informację o codziennej zmianie ręcznikó i pościeli. Podłoga w pokoju w ciągu pobytu zostałą umyta jeden raz i dopiero po interwencji w recepcji. Pewnien niesmak, jak na 4,5-gwiazdkowy hotel, pozostawił również brak drzwiczek w szafce z lodówką (wyłamane). Basen był mały i nieprawdą jest informacja podana przez Itakę o wielkości dwóch basenów - każdy po ok. 450 m2. Na miejscu okazało się, że jeden jest dostępny tylko dla rezydentów wybranych pokoi, których Itaka w ogóle nie rezerwuje. Drugi basen, ok. 200 m2, jest przeznaczony dla rezydentów pozostałych ok. 60 pokoi. Podobnie wyglądała sytuacja z leżakami przy basenie - większość dostępna dla rezydentów wybranych pokoi, dla pozozstałych szczęśliwców 10 leżaków i 5 parasoli... Pozostali byli zmuszeni do płacenia za leżaki na plaży, co jak na rzekomo hotel 4,5-gwiazdkowy wywołuje uśmiech na twarzach tym bardziej, że obsługa hotelu w dziwny sposób nie zauważała, że z leżaków hotelu korzystają takż goście sąsiedniego hotelu i od nich opłaty za leżaki nie inkasowała. Same leżaki i parasole plażowe przez pierwsze trzy dni pobytu leżały porozrzucane bez ładu i składu, a obsługa hotelowa zajęłą się ustawieniem leżakó i wbiciem parasoli w piasek dopiero czwartego dnia. Po paru wyjazdach z Itaką, w tym roku czuję się zawiedzony samą ofertą, jak i ceną!

Hotel mały, ale bardzo kameralny. Jest w nim czysto i schludnie. Moim zdaniem idealny dla par, które chcą wypocząć w spokojnym miejscu, położonym nad samym morzem. W hotelu panuje spokój (moim zdaniem spowodowane jest to małą ilością rodzin z dziećmi), brak animacji - wg mnie jest to zaletą a nie wadą (dlatego w ankiecie dałem maksymalną ocenę). Jedzenie jest bardzo dobre, obsługa bardzo miła. Ze wszystkimi można porozumiewać się w języku angielskim. Zimne napoje (woda, cola itp.) podawane przy obiedzie są w butelkach, a nie z automatu co moim zdaniem podnosi standard. Idealna baza wypadowa do zwiedzania zachodniej części Krety. Mimo wysokiej ceny jak na polskie realia jestem bardzo zadowolony z hotelu i bardzo chętnie chciałbym tam wrócić w przyszłości.

Wspaniałe położenie hotelu nad samym morzem a jednocześnie bardzo dobra baza wypadowa do zwiedzania zachodniej Krety (blisko do autostrady i przystanku autobusowego). Dużą zaletą jest brak durnych animacji hotelowych- cisza, spokój, tylko szum morza do śniadania, obiadu i kolacji. Szkoda tylko, że w tym hotelu Itaka nie ma opcji HB, (dla tych, którzy wakacje spędzają nie tylko nad basenem, opcja all inclusive jest nie do przejedzenia).

Hotel idealnie zgodny z oczekiwaniami. Położony z dala od zgiełku i turystów, zadbany, o ciekawej architekturze i miłej, dyskretnej obsłudze. Duży plus to brak hałaśliwej muzyki i animacji. W hotelu panuje miła, nie napuszona atmosfera, w której świetnie się odpoczywa. Pokój z dobrze działającą klimatyzacją, sprzątany codziennie, wraz ze zmianą ręczników. W restauracji duży wybór potraw, na kolację zazwyczaj wszystko co można sobie wymarzyć - ryba, kurczak, jagnięcina, wołowina, zapiekane warzywa. Zawsze świeże warzywa na sałatkę. Dobre napoje. Hotel Grand Bay Beach to ideał dla ludzi nie lubiących zatłoczonych, obleganych miejsc. Jest wygodny i ze świetną relaksującą atmosferą. Z przyjemnością wrócilibyśmy tu. Jedyny minus, to niejasna sytuacja z fragmentem prywatnym basenu i z leżakami - nie ma informacji i trzeba się dopytać o zwyczaje.

Hotel bardzo fajny i przyjemny ponieważ jest raczej małym i kameralnym hotelem. Jedzenie bardzo dobre ponieważ głównie była serwowana kuchnia grecka co umożliwiło poznanie potraw tej kuchni. Obsługa hotelu też bardzo sympatyczna i uczynna. Rezydent w porządku. Okolica bardzo fajna.

Spinalonga and Agios Nikolaos — the landscapes of East Crete, which is famous for its splendid views on the gorgeous Mirabello bay, an ancient flooded port of Olous and the city of Agios Nikolaos. Cruise to the island of Spinalonga, exploring the impressive fortress built by the Byzantines. After the tour, the boat anchors in a quiet cove by a small, wild beach. Time for swimming and lunch, which is prepared by the crew of the ship: grilled meat and Greek Salad. After returning to land, a walk through the charming and romantic Agios Nikolaos. Samaria Gorge — an expedition through the longest gorge in Europe - approx. 18 km, in the White Mountains National Park (Lefka Ori). Departure early in the morning towards the plateau of Omfalos at an altitude of approx. 1100 meters. Descent into the gorge. Conquering Ksiloskala - the stone steps carved into a hillside overgrown with cypress trees. Walk through the gorge, on the way the first of several churches - Agios Nikolaos. After exiting the gorge the route leads through an abandoned, old village of Agia Roumeli to the new Agia Roumeli. Boat cruise to Chora Sfakion, transfer to the hotels by coach. Day trip. Samaria Gorge — an expedition through the longest gorge in Europe - approx. 18 km, in the White Mountains National Park (Lefka Ori). Departure early in the morning towards the plateau of Omfalos at an altitude of approx. 1100 meters. Descent into the gorge. Conquering Ksiloskala - the stone steps carved into a hillside overgrown with cypress trees. Walk through the gorge, on the way the first of several churches - Agios Nikolaos. After exiting the gorge the route leads through an abandoned, old village of Agia Roumeli to the new Agia Roumeli. Boat cruise to Chora Sfakion, transfer to the hotels by coach. Day trip. The route of the tour runs along the northern coast to Kissamos (Kastelli) Port, where the cruise begins around the gorgeous bay. After an hour arrival in Imeri Gramvousa. This uninhabited islet with intact nature is a natural reserve for many species of birds. A swim in the bay and visit to the ruins located on a 137 metre hill of the Venetian fortress from the 16th century, providing wonderful views of Balos Bay. Elafonisi — this tiny islet located in the depths of the bay of the same name is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Crete. Separated from the mainland by a very shallow sea. Heading south along the track of Cretan villages called Enneachoria we will see the Chapel of Agia Sofia known from Neolithic times hidden in the grotto, and the stalactites and stalagmites occurring there.
